  1. Hi all,
This probably has been asked before, but what should I do first my bio or upgrades. Im regular FE, goliath, skylab, all iris(all level 2), all lf3, all bo-2, pet with kami and resource collector 3, heart formation, 1 havoc, 17 Pilot bio points, and a level 4 rocket launcher. I think since I don't hunt much upgrades would be better for me, but people keep recommending pilot bio. Also which gate has the overall best rewards in terms of log disks, booty keys, and uridium? I don't care for honor or Exp as that doesn't help you win a fight.

  2. Wow, 2 days and not closed or commented on.

I am big on upgrades. If you upgrade your equipment, you last longer and hit harder.

Pilot bio is good but expensive. Most pilots harp about upgrading pilot bio because they see the initial goal as getting Fats, which in your case means you need 5 more points.

To answer your last question, the gate you want is Zeta gate. It gives 50 log disk, 25 keys, and almost 48k uridium, including the npc's.

    Hopefully this answers your questions.;)

  3. From my experience, you should go with Bio until you have maxed out the first row (except maybe not maxing out Engineering) and get at least 5 points Rocket fusion as it helps too much. This is total of 27 pilot points, and will take nice amount of uridium to get there. But, you will be much stronger for sure.

After that, Irises level 16 and Rocket launcher level 16 (if you want to).
Overall, best gate is Zeta, because it gives a total of 100k uridium as a reward (keys, log disks). This will help you in getting Apis/Zeus drone and also with the pilot tree. :)

PS. Also people say Evasive maneuvers II is not worth getting; trust me, it is WORTH getting. Changes too much when you are in PvP.

  4. do bio not for fats but for electro optics and shield mechanics
alien hunter is good option also it gives 12% dmg on npcs.
dont upgrade lf-3's it is waste of uridium, on 100% from lvl 0 to 16 without rebate and premium cost almost 100k uri for 1 lf-3 and for that uri you can get(not 100%) lf-4 during x2 lf-4 boty event.
anyway sooner or later you will have full lf-4 and then you will have to spend all that uri again on upgrades and lf-3's will just sit there without any use.

    hope this help you.

  5. bio isnt that expensive till about 30 points, so i suggest you get your bio up to 30 points and then upgrade your drones first, followed by lf4's and bo2's.

Cheeetah I agree with bio first but shouldn't a person upgrade rocket launcher first, then your set.

  7. Upgrades are waste of money. At your level having 15% more shield or 6% more damage is useless. Keep doing Zetas and you will get pilot points for free since you are gaining 50 log disks each gate. Not to mention the 25 keys. Use your uri only in Zeta and booty keys and use those keys in Zeus day.

Your number 1 priority should be getting Zeus.
Goliath with 8 drones and lvl 16 equipment is weaker than a Goliath with 9 or 10 drones and lvl 0 equipment. You will get Apis with maybe 500 keys, only 750k uri. Upgrading your drones to lvl 16 is +800k uri. Upgragind is useless unless you are close to UFE.

Also do not touch the rocket launcer anymore, if lvl 1 rocket launcher does 10,000dmg then lvl 4 rocket launcher does 10,120dmg. You will never notice that difference.

  8. All upgrades help. At any level having more shields means you can stay in the fight longer, and more damage means you are hitting harder which also means you can kill those NPC faster. That said, while you are doing those gates to give you log disk for your bio, you will find it easier as you upgrade more and more. When you put that total amount of uri, it does look like a lot but it is nothing if you do it a step at a time. Why is it when people ask for advice, there is so much negativity? You will find that you can do both at the same time, upgrades, and bio. When doing this it will look like you are getting a lot more done and make it more fun rather than work. I would upgrade things in groups.

    My upgrade order has been:

    • Rocket Launcher - to get it out of the way
    • Drones - it helps with damage for lasers and more protection for shields
    • BO2 - Needed so you can stay in the fight with those npc and for protection while running from more powerful enemies
I do not have a single LF4 so have not gotten into any of that.

Work on your bio as well. But look at the bio now and make a plan for what you want. It is very easy to just click what looks good at the time in there, but then later get to thinking "Why did I choose that?" Bio gets costly to change over time as the reset cost doubles for each reset. Work on getting a feel for what all the items do in the skill tree so you know what you are looking at getting when you will pick the next item. There are prerequisites for each skill, and some may require you to have a number of certain skills before you get the one you want.
