Booster on/off switch

    The idea im suggesting is the option to turn off boosters but there is a catch. you can switch the booster off it takes affect instantly and heres the catch when you switch it back on it takes 5 hours of game play before they become active again.

    Boosters must be active for atleast a hour before they can be turned off
    Demilitarized zones dont add time neither do gates

    Tell me what yous think

    No!!!
    A two min. cooldown should suffice with a 5 sec. restart delay and 2% tax on that resource for each activation.
     
  3. Like the idea but a 5 hour wait is a bit steep.

    I like the idea but have to agree that the 5 hour wait is indeed steep, I can say I don't like Vespid's suggestion lol.

    I dont think its too steep its a option you can let your boosters run down naturally or you can store them.
    I thought about how people will keep there boosters for events so a day or 2 before a event like spaceball or scoremageddon there will be alot of players on maps getting there boosters active and when the events are on more players will play
    as they may feel more confident with some boosters.

    Also i didnt want to make the activation time to low (was thinking 2 hours at first) because i didnt want it to be a easy option you have to work and take some risks to active the boosters again (i.e leaving port to do some npcs)

    Someone posted this a week or two ago (about pausing boosters), but having a 5 hour play time for it to switch on is ridiculous, maybe 30 seconds max so you cant just switch on and off instantely all the time
     
  7. It would be almost pointless if the reactivation time was 5hours..

    dont see it as pointless you save you boosters for events like i said its a option you dont need to use it why do people think d.o is going to give us a instant on/off switch there has to be some catch its not hard to log 5 hours to reactivate them
     
  9. Cool idea, it would be great. =) however, 5 hours is too steep...maybe make it something like...lets say 2 hours? Also, would this effect 50% Boosters too?

    well maybe it is a bit steep but if it was added thats for d.o to decide but i would like to add a instant reactivation which would cost 2k uri
     
  12. This was suggested before, I'm guessing in the old forums. There was a massive debate over it, and we all came down to a decent conclusion, I don't exactly remember what I said that got it going but this is not how to do it. So until you fix it up to be logical. No.
     
  13. This switch would be nice. I'd turn them off while palliing and the like. Certain things are just a waste of your damage/shield boosters. +1
