Bot Fix (Kinda)

While bots have been getting better for a long time (I've played sense 08 and there has been a huge reduction); however, bots have evolved. They don't use packets and boxing bots are different now. Now in order to avoid bans box bots in 4-x have begun to use a random clicker which clicks a random location on their map and has them fly around while their pet collect the bonus boxes. Its undetectable because it's just like a mouse clicking different spots on mini map and flying around. Can't do anything about it, its just how it is right? Can't detect a bot that just clicks. Well while you may not be able to detect it I have come up with a idea similar to their old captcha idea. I have come up with two ideas.

1. Bot is flying around 4-1 clicking randomly having pet collect boxes.
2. Around 10 min in pet has collected 50 bonus boxes.
3. Computer detects that pet has collected 50 boxes but person has collected 0
4. The person gets a pop up similar to the mega happy hour saying their ship seems to be inactive, please perform a action.
5. If the player does not collect a bonus box BY HIMSELF (without pet, the person has to actually click a bonus box and have the ship fly up to it and collect it) reward from the bonus box will drop.
6. It will drop 10% every bonus box that the pet picks up one minute after the pop up that the person received.
   
7. When the person collects the bonus box the system will reset and the countdown from 50 will begin again.
   
8. If the ship continues to fly around the same map after the bonus box reward has drop for let say an hour he is notified to change maps or all profits within the two hours (he hasn't been getting rewards for the past hour keep that in mind) will be negated AND DEDUCTED FROM THE ACCOUNT AT DOUBLE THE RATE.
9. For example. A bot has been flying around for one hour and collected the 50 boxes but none were actually clicked. He made 5000 uri from the 50 boxes (not realistic but for example its okey), he is prompted with the message and ignores it for the next hour, he will then automatically be logged out, he will lose the 5000 uri (along with all other rewards) that he gained and get a penalty of 10,000 uri.
   
10. The beauty in this system is a person would respond to the message and no sane person wouldn't collect to bonus bot in 1+ hours if they are boxing.

The second idea

1. Same concept as above until number 8, however after he has been flying around and not responding to the message with in 10 minutes he will lose connection to server and the tab will close.
   
2. When he re-opens that tab he will receive a permanent insta-shield, will not be able to move or active pet, etc.
   
3. During the insta-shield duration he will be notified with different messages
   1. Copy a certain word
   2. Enter your account user name
   3. Solve a captcha
      
   4. Enter what map you are currently in
   5. What company are you in
   6. Other simple questions
4. To avoid bot's trying to answer random questions for the first 10 incorrect answers there is no fine, after the 10 incorrect answers every wrong answer will come with a uridium fine at a increasing rate 100,200,400,800,1600, all the way until the person either runs out of uridium or until he hits 20 incorrect answers.
5. When the bot answers 20 incorrect answers his account is suspended and when he attempted to log in he will get a notification saying that his account has had suspsious activity and to contact support.
6. When he contacts support he would have to either explain why he got the answers wrong, such as bad English, child playing on his keyboard.
7. If reasons are not logical support will take the proper action in dealing with a botter and ban the account for the appropriate amount of time.

What do you guys thing? I thought if this while boxing in 4-1 and tired to botters stealing all my boxes :3 haha

Sometimes I like to fly around with my pet and just leave my pet to pick up boxes.
This would be a real pain to people who don't bot..

 

It would not be a real pain. You see a box every 10 seconds when flying around. When you are prompted the message collect one box that takes a second to collect and one click. By the sounds of it you are collecting them anyway. It seems like what you are doing is similar to what the bots are doing; however, according to your statement you are not a bot and would have no problem using 5 seconds to do something you are doing anyway. I brought this idea up in chat and in clan raidcall. Everyone agreed (with acception to one known server better) that this would not hinder regular player gameplay.

Anyways.. About your Idea: Pixel reader is looking for "ship seems to be inactive, please perform a action", copies 200 x 100 pixel below that text -> send it to captcha resolve service -> done.

And while you are stil locked on the window, trying to solve the captcha, somebody else is gonna destroy your ship.
Meanwhile the bot is already back @gathering because ppl resolving captchas all day are way better at solving them then you are.

 

I don't collect the boxes myself, so I have 0 collected ...that is the job for my PET to do Not gonna play click race to collect whichever box cuz the PET zig and zags all the time. I click next to a box and stop and the trash collector goes to work Nice concepts, but the diminishing returns work best. Just log off and start all over again.

 

Aye, both ideas are good but if it is a bot diminishing returns would be better. I don't know because I've never used one but I'm guessing there's something that tells the botter when the window is closed? If not well whatever but if so then the DR idea would be better

 

While some bots do have the ability to reopen tabs after they are closed, the bots that I am talking about mearly click random locations on minimap, when tab would close it would continue aimlessly clicking at a blank location.

So there is not actual problem than you refusing to click a bonus box. Also stating that you have 0 boxes collected seems to be exactly whats bots do. Fly around and not collect a single bot. Tells me a lot about you ^^ Wont really affect people as its not hard to click a box. Pet zig zags and if you to actually play you would notice is misses boxes.

I never called them more evolved, that are actually the opposite. People just have been lead to using them or else they have a high chance of ban. Which is exactly why I said it didn't always have a captcha. I actually mentioned several different methods of questions that would require completely different answers.
People who actually box would never get the pop up in the first place, and if you read carefully you would not have to worry about getting popped as you had a insta-shield around you as long as the window is open.

 

i dont use bot and i only box with pet while im watching film so this counter will mark me as bot and i will get ban ? for only moving around map letting pet box ?

 

If you are watching a movie you can click one box ever 50 boxes. That and after not clicking for two hours straight you would notice rewards are smaller, i mean common its one click that takes 10 seconds, you clicking on minimap to move your ship anyway, on the second system if you manage to get that many questions wrong because your watching a movie, I don't know what to tell you if you can't answer a simple question.

Heres the thing, what about the players who are doing the same in the Pally fields? Will this pick that up or not? I ask because there are honest players in that map who let the pet pick up the palli while they remain cloaked, but they are there because as soon as you shoot they start getting mad in chat lol.

 

you dont know how bots work, they know where the boxes are and just act realistic, they collect boxes too, people can run bots while logged onto the game themselves, ie i could just sit and watch the program run and do other stuff. so great in concept, not very realistic.

 

Would not affect pally because its not as big of a problem a boxers. The get pure uri and gate spins, pally only gives gate spins and not as many.

Thats old style bots. Those box took apart the game SWF to find out where boxes are location. Those bots get banned now, people are just using auto clickers.

 

well fact of the matter is, that bots do exist, and they wont stop existing. For every program DO creates to stop it, A new program is created to adapt and trick the DO program. Its a game of cat and mouse.

Thats not what I am saying. I am merely saying that botting will never stop. Its just the nature of gaming sadly. if you stop and think about it. Almost every computer game, every video game has cheats. Thats just the thing, you cant actually end it. You can only stop one version, and sadly, these creators are very smart and always seem to find a way to get around it. You have seen it, we all have seen it. Think back to before the UFE days, the crazy amount of botters that existed. DO spent alot of money and time developing a bot ban system, but then a few years later, a new bot was created. Sadly, game companies are usually 1 step behind the hackers

 

I like the first idea, but basically;

-If pet collect boxes more than 1-2 hour, player will get less rewards for Uridium and for GG Energys.*if that player has doubler or salvage protocols it doesnt matter*.

I think it will solve the problem =D

I think all botters hates captcha system. And when they see captcha is back they will seems like "".

 

good idea but there will allways be botters as they will find ways around the things bigpoint puts in so sad
