  1. Hi bigpoint

dont know if this is the place to post this but this last week has been a pain in the rear end for me fighting wise.

    1) RSB and x4 - when used in combination sometimes out of time the firing just stops and "cancelled" shows why?

    2) while doing these combinations all of a sudden my ship just stops firing people say just repress fire again but by the time you've realized its too late, it only seems to be happening to some people. I can rpelicate it. in nearly EVERY fight i have. Im going to reside in gates for the next week as its pointless even fighting.

    3) When fighting some players (not naming names) and my lasers are shooting there HP is not moving at all, drone formations in normal/Moth etc (i understand pincer lowers the shild pen rate etc)

    4) EMPS when fighting some people (not naming names) they seem to fire emps and mines like theres a 5 second timer.

    5) Locking player is sometimes impossible i mean literally im clicking right on them and it wont lock the player its not lag im running at 50- 60 fps but i just cant lock. to the point of i give up and return to port.

is someone looking into this? Ddraig came and tested the shooting thing with me but then report Quality controll couldnt replicate it. however i can replicate it nearly every fight i have.

    thanks DO

Last update did indeed mess up RSB switching. You're not alone on that point.

  3. 3) Have reported this a while ago, supported wanted video proof, but I didn't had it cause I don't record while playing. Also, I have seen players that when you start hitting them they increase their speed so much that you can't reach them. I was hunting a Goliath that was camping my upper maps, when I got him low HP, he started moving with crazy speed and I was not able to catch him (yes, I was on my full speed config in Goliath). Reported this too, wanted video proof. As usual, I didn't had it.
    4) Seen this too on the maps.
    5) Happened to me before, sometimes I am not even able to lock P.E.T's, while I can lock someone else P.E.T without problem.

Also, to add on this, lately I can't shoot P.E.T's. When you attack them, it just cancels the auto attack on it's own. The other P.E.T's that are around me, I can shoot them without a problem. That means, it is not a latency issue. You are not alone :)

  4. Hi hunter,

Yes I have had your issue too with what seems to be an amazingly fast goli, when we asked the "user" how he got away he said he moved "slightly to the lieft of me" now if youve all seen blue harvest Family guy where peter griffin in the millennium falcon says evasive maneuvers and the falcon shifts slightly to the left.. you will all find that quite amusing but when the same goli can keep up with a passat, i start questioning the abilities of that user.

  5. It was not the case that he was moving "slightly to the left" or something like that, doing some maneuvers around. He just out speed me, in a straight line. Also, I have been on my speed config all the time as he was trying to run away from me (meaning I don't have the case where he switched to fast config before I realized that and he got away). I was just on his tail hitting him, when he got really low on HP, he just vanished before my eyes, straight to the port and jumped away.

  6. try to play with 2 different ships at same time on 2 browsers.
you will see where each ship is at same time but it show different positions on both browsers.
game is messt up it was much better before UI update thing.

  7. Really? Have you tried this? If this is true, than it is a massive problem in this game, if 2 players see different things.

  8. yup it is like this since they put new UI.
usually when i hunt i start shooting ship and it show that it is behind me 2 sec after it show that ship in front of me.
and they can escape easy like that specially if they use litle faster ships.
if i stop just for a mili sec they escape from me lol.

  9. Ooops. Has this been reported straight to support, ever? If no, I think it needs to be done now, with a good explanation what is really going on.

  10. nah i dont know how to explane it, my english is limited lol
i have more problems on my account not only that, on all browsers i have black field up on screen 2 cm, it came up after some update dont remamber anymore when that was.
    http://prntscr.com/76kot0
no idea how to fix that lol

  11. I am not sure how to fix it. If the standard things (delete Flash player cache and browser cache) didn't helped you, than you should check with support I think. Also, have you tried if you have the same issue on Firefox? :)

  12. firefox is ok, but it is litle to slow for my taste.
    opera work much faster.
i remember now it was after skylab patch.

  13. Hmm, I don't have any problems on Opera while playing the game. Don't know what can cause that exactly.

  14. I see this all the time. My brother and I occasionally play together, and I can see his screen from where I'm sitting. The positioning of the ships can be VASTLY different from computer to computer depending mainly on internet connection, flashplayer performance, etc.
Most of the time it is usually only a minor displacement and you wouldn't really notice, but if there is a lot of information to process or it lags out, the difference in position can be a whole screen length or more.
It tends to correct itself in two ways:
    1) The server information gradually reconciles over time naturally. As you enter new input (like clicking on a new destination), it adjusts slightly to compensate and in a few seconds or so the ships will end up aligning on both computers again. This sometimes looks like ships are moving faster than they should for brief periods, or sometimes they might stutter a bit across the map. I'm not saying that this is always the case if you see this happen, but it does occur.
    2) If the server lags out for too long, sometimes it seems to just 'dump' the old information and load in the new info. This is much rarer because it means it's due to a server issue (not a connection or performance issue), but I have seen it happen a few times. The ship will simply seem to jump/warp/whatever to the new location (based on wherever the server catches up to). Again, there can be other explanations for the same behaviour, but it does happen for this reason too.

Both of these happen with NPCs too, but for some reason no-one ever seems to accuse THEM of cheating...

The most extreme case I ever personally witnessed was when we were flying across our home base map from portal to base. I jumped a fraction earlier, and my ship flew in a straight line back to base. The other ship (which was a slightly faster configuration) started about a half screen behind mine and gradually overtook me by the time we reached base. Perfectly normal.
On computer #2, my ship simply vanished off the screen immediately after the jump, and then appeared about a quarter of the way to base. Over the course of the flight, ship #2 rocketed past mine at a blinding speed before finishing at base quite some time before I got there. Halfway through the trip, on screen #1 the two ships were literally on top of each other for a good 5 seconds or so, but on screen #2 my ship might as well have been sitting still while the other one zoomed past me. I even locked on and off just to prove that I could still clearly see his ship after it had passed.

Hack? No. Glitch? Definitely. Bug? Most likely not - just some unexpected server lag and a few performance hiccups, but it can be fun/weird to watch.

It's existed for ages, although in the last 6 months I think it has gotten a lot worse - couple months ago I made this video demonstrating it to support and was told it had been passed on but never got any further feedback than that.

  16. Wooha, haven't noticed that video before. What is interesting to me is that this (according to me) is a serious problem that needs fix.

  17. yea thats it.
game is mess i hate that my game screen is not that big and lots of ships run from me easy coz of that glitch.

  18. After seeing that video, I finally understood why sometimes I see ships moving away too fast from me. I know now that I have experienced this before, and yeah, it's not cool at all

The video helps explain what many people scream as "speed hack!!" and the problem seemed to have been introduced when the user interface / range update was done. Wish they would sort it out :(

  20. And some players have learned to exploit the bug as most of the time, when I see it, it's the same folks over and over.
