  1. It is becoming a hindrance with these idiots who choose to only battle with lessor rivals. I refuse ti invest in a game where you are consistently hit by higher level players because they are not that good of a player to fight with people of their own level or higher. Prices on most of your so-called items are unbelievably to high in credits or the need to blow several hundreds of dollars to get the top weapons... and then you have the worthless geeks, who do nothing but blow every cent they have on these items... and then use them on weaker opponents.

If I do not receive a reply with a intelligent answer to the imbalance of your game... I am gone; I will not waste my time or money to propagate a game or gaming business when they create a game that allows higher levels to continually bash lower level players... if a lower level player chooses to battle a higher level.. that is his choice, and those trying to gather credits, and other components to the game that they can purchase items.

  2. That's the bad reality in this game spend much time for get uri or spend much money for grow up.:(:oops:
But u can play much time for get uri and at same time u learn how to play, not like other noobs they just spend money but not know how to fight ;) :p:p:p

  3. That's the reality of the game my friend, sorry as it is. I was like you and then started spending, and after hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours I am now one of the bullies, so to speak. I do try not to abuse new players, but it happens quite a bit since in essence that's how the game is meant to be played. The strong "dominate" the weak.

    A shred of hope? :

The powers that be have said recently that this issue is under serious consideration and changes are coming....hopefully sooner than later.

I'm sorry you feel that way I hope you don't leave the game for good like countless others have(including myself for nearly two years total because of rampant cheating which has been resolved, hence my recent return).

  4. Don't feel bad about being popped by UFE's. It is something I came to realize when I first started playing and I was always being killed by my own company. Strong players fighting each other to a kill normally happens as long as both are determined to kill the other and not run. Weaker players normally don't have the power to get away or chase off the attacker. In the past, and even now, strong players attack groups as a group. Normally this is done during events or the bases. Its fun to watch and participate in, now... After you play for a while, you may start to find it amusing when you get attacked. I have been playing almost 3 years on 6 servers with the newest server I have only been on since August. I get a kick out of the Strong Players that uncloak on me in order to fill there kill quest counts. Believe me, it is not picnic for the attacker either. They tend to pick on the NOOB player as those are quick kills to fill the void. Hunting is a time and patience game. Unless you play on a super populated server, global anyone, getting a kill will probably be followed up with a cookie because "man that took forever to find." Trust me, I feel your pain. When I first started, I seriously was putting a list of player names together with the idea of hunting them down for real, but I got over it. It is frustrating but given time, you will find the game like we do, dull.

  6. Be nice if you could actually finish a quest and level up. On GB1 its so quiet I am the only ship in MMO lowers, which means i am getting hit by every eic and vru player looking for a kill. In a veng with speed on in previous years i might have had a small chance of escaping, but not now, the first thing they do is hit you with a freeze rocket. I been killed 15 times in last hour, 5 times by one player. And people will keep quitting when lower level because of this situation. When you cant level up, there is no point in staying in game.

  7. That is my newest server and you are right, it is quiet. I would suggest you work on getting your BO2's upgraded. It makes a huge difference when getting "Shot in Place" as it will allow you to live long enough through the ice to get away when it melts. However you can level up. I did a lot in my first 3 months on the server and now have gotten the aegis and citadel. Go forth and do great things.

    Mephi you are so right....
Why do you think so many of the servers are empty? I have pointed the same thing out many times myself, and am in total agreement with you. The inherent unfairness of this game attracts bullies and drives away newbies. All I can say is, i have been popped over a thousand times by more powerful players, have learned to play with stealth, and to conserve my hard earned resources.

Unfortunately, you are in a pay to play game here and that, my friend, is now the reality ( it was not always so, but those days, and their thriving and well populated servers, are well and truly gone ). You must decide therefore, for yourself, whether to stay or go, but I would consider the possibility of becoming a clan member, and taking advantage of the protection this affords low level pilots.

If you do decide to stay, then you simply must at least get yourself a prem account, and spend occasionally, otherwise find yourself a dead server ( GB1, as Sundance says, is very quiet ) and fly with caution.

Do not, however, expect to have upgraded BO2s like Sundance, and spare hangars with nice ships after 3 months, unless you're never afk long enough to take a leak. It'll take time.

Sorry there is no quick fix.

As this is not a game issue, I have moved this thread to a more appropriate section for discussion.

  10. Hmmm, lets clear something up....

You do not have to pay to play, no matter what server you are on. Getting a prem account does not make it more fun. At the most it means you can respawn after being popped anywhere for free, which is not really true since you paid to do that. As some players on busier servers have pointed out many times, its hard to get far on x-2 maps. It can be that way on quiet, GB1, servers as well. Been popped many times in x-2 when trying to get away from someone I knew was stalking me.

Another thing I need to clear up. I just got my Aegis and Citadel this week, and none of my BO2's are upgraded. I did get all my BO2's during my first 3 months in auction as well as all the rest of the equipment needed to become basic FE on a goli. You can level up, go quest, and get ahead without paying a dime. Pick a server and just play. GB1 is my 6th server to play on. I am prem on my US West account and was as frustrated as the OP and some of the other responders of this thread seem when I first started. Actually I still think I get more frustrated on that server than the other 5 put together. I am happiest on my GB1 account and trust me, I have all the same ships on all 6 accounts, although I still need to get my 3rd, ahem, hanger for my spear on GB1.

Based on the OP's opening, this does leave a large investment of time and patience. I have invested a lot of both, more time than patience, and wish someone had explained this to me when I first started. Just don't let DO get to you. You will find you can have fun and get a lot done by just taking your time. Just don't drink too many liquids you have to pee...:p

Not sure you can really start stomping your feet after only three weeks of play.
Any semblance of fair and balanced play went out the window two years ago. Now it is one gimmick after another.

  12. Look at it this way. If you decide to stay and get stronger you'll eventually pop just about everyone that popped you. If not
them you get their family members or their friends:cool: Like some one said above. If you don't have prem. rebate pkg, money &
time you can just forget about it. You won't be going anywhere fast. That's the state of the game right now:(

  14. Yep, I must congratulate the pro-pay speak, it totally cracks me up. I see it in a lot of posts on many threads like its the only way to go. Just like many of them start with I am leaving if it does not change. Its a game, one that you are not supposed to be able to fly through to the end. That is what checkers is for. But now you also know you are not alone in your thoughts and a number of players will keep justifying them with you. Have fun...

Unfortunately, Sundance is way wide of the mark here.
If he had in fact read what I had written above, he would realise that, far from being 'pro play', in fact I believe a game should be what it claims to be, ie free to play, in this case.
Also he refuses outright to admit that the game environment is profoundly unbalanced and unfair.
However, I'm just a player, not a CEO, so what i believe in this regard doesn't amount to a hill of beans as well Sundance knows. But neither am I hopelessly naive, or have my head stuck in the sand.
Sundance, you can't even begin to change something for the better without first acknowledging that it needs improvement, something you seem loath to do. In fact it is you and not I, who seems to be happy with the way things are in the game atm...
I have been pragmatic in my approach in this thread, and if any free players out there want to chip in ( sorry Sundance you don't count as, although you have a number of accounts, your main is most definately paid for, as is mine ) your thoughts would be most welcome.
I suspect, however, that we will be waiting a while for that.
Sundance, you can't change something for the better without admitting that it needs improvement, and it sounds like you are the apologist in this regard, not I.
    In the meantime, play on

They kill weaker opponents because there's no one else of their caliber to fight against.

  17. This is rich, i missed you when I was in GB1 earlier working on my quest with my level 1 gear on my free account. But that is ok, let me see if I can answer your bullet points.

    • Should be free to play--I totally agree and for me it is on 5 out of 6 servers. Of course it is a big game ran by a big company that needs a big bank roll and so they tease us into making purchases so they can pay their big payroll and bills. OK next point..
    • The environment is unbalanced and therefore unfair. I could not agree more. With all these UFE players out there stalking those that they see as beneath them, those playing free and trying to build up have to constantly watchout. I have been popped lots of times while trying to do npc quest. That said even on my prem account I go through the same thing. OK what was next?
    • As far as the happiness is concerned, I am happy I have friends on each of the servers to talk to while working on the quests. I hate working on the events as there seem to always be a mess of issues with each one. But I have accepted the fact that this is a pvp game and I will always have to watch for an attacker. And I will always have to be ready for my fast trip to base. I am so tired of base. I can tell you now, when I first started my prem account I really wanted to know where my attackers lived for a good 3 months before I calmed down. The bad thing was all my attackers were from my company; not sure what that was about... But I do not seem to have that issue now.
I apologize if this does not make you happy but its all I got.
