The thing I think would help everyone including noobs on many levels is for pilots to keep their hard earned cargo from being lost when popped.

I for one really hate when what I worked long and hard to gain is lost because some idiot with better ships and ammo comes along to pop me and take what i worked for.

I agree but the forum members will try to bury it with inactivity....It takes away from their game when they can't drive out new players with their lack of decency.

  3. I do think this is a nice idea but DO is trying to make the new players experience the game so when they loose their cargos and get poped they will try their best not to get poped. Like I said I love the idea but it probably wont happen.:(

  4. I can't remember the last time I picked up a popped player's cargo. Then there is the fact that DO did change it so paladium no longer is lost. Noobs need their money, this helps them keep it. Good idea Dreadlok.

edit; beer works, I put seprom when I meant paladium

  5. it has happened before with the Palladium pilots would loot from destroyed ships in pirate maps. cool thought.

  6. I like this idea, but when you pop, you loose just about 25% of the cargo, so it shouldn't be too much...
Meh, I get enough credits from the NPCs I pop, so I don't remember the last time I cashed in my ores :p
+1 from me, I have no problems with this.

  7. Oh Vespid, your conspiracy theories make me chuckle.

This is why I'm not completely on board with this idea, its a nice idea though.

  8. I wouldn't worry about the cargo, it is the NPCs cargo that I almost destroyed that gets robbed. All that for naught and then chases me off and then I know they went back and pop'd da NPC. Uri and credits are more valuable than cargo, anyways.

I agree with the notion that if you are too weak to secure your target alien for the uri and creds then the cargo isn't a real issue.
But for those strong enough to actually get the kill, uri and credits this idea would be very handy to keep whatever cargo you have earned.

  10. Another +1 from me.

I remember going from 2-4 to 2-1 on my noob account to sell my full-of-promerium cargo. Oh the joys of all the credits I'm going to get...
Enter 2-2 map nearly there a UFE spearhead uses ultimate cloak to stalk me till halfway there (furthest away from portals) and there went what between a third and a half of my hard earned cargo... And ultimately, a third - a half of my credits.

The worst thing is when the players dont pick up your cargo, then it just simply goes to waste. Then you ask yourself why and try to think of a good reason as to why bp made it like this? To teach you a lesson? like the drone damage, the rank point decrease, the uridium you have to pay isn't bad enough already...
