  1. Currently the ranking system gives you points for your number of days since registration. So 2 ships that has been here 365 days get the same even if one played 50 hours and the other guy played 40 hours a week.

    Here's what I propose:

Add a direct line to the ranking for hours active - no multiplier or divider.

  2. So we get. say 5,000 rank points if we have 5,000 hours? I mean, okay, lol, sounds fine to me :3

In theory it sounds good but for the ones that were "playing" 24/7 I'm sure it sounds even better ;)

  4. I think its pretty good idea, but i would add some requirements to it, and make it separate counting system.

    Those requirements would be following:
    - Player must be visible and off neutral zone, if not moving.

    - If player moves continuously, when invisible and off neutral zone, he/she can gain points.)
    - Ship must move at least every 2 minutes. (Active player)

Why i think these requirements are necessary is because, I don't like that you can get high rank only sitting on port or something similar.

However, i think its good part of counting system, that it counts days from your registration.
It should remain, even if new things are added.

  5. Botters would win as they were always online...

The ranking system needs a complete overhaul and people who were detected botting/cheating shouldn't even be included in it IMO. Then your idea would be good.

  6. Aren't the botters flushed down the toilet bowl already? :p

  7. Many of those who DO managed to ban, didn't get removed from the ranks.

  8. Not enough

  9. Ok, I see, thanks, but are there still botters in this game?

  10. a few yes. They can't detect pixel bots.

Well Grumpy, didn't know you used forum :) I agree with your idea. I personally have been a member since 2010, but was never on up until a year ago. So compared to me being outstandingly active now, it would be unfair for me to get points to three inactive years.

  12. Pixel bots? What are those? Never heard of it.

  13. It's basically the same as any other bot, except it can only lock onto what is there. So if someone used an auto lock run like that, it wouldn't work on a cloaker.

However there are a couple hidden bots online that can auto lock cloakers and do other stuff, they just have a way of setting up the bot, that is undetectable

  14. Ok, thanks:)

  15. People have managed to bring back the bot. These programs are always active and create new ways to go undetected for a while. A most recent one was discussed in a gamer blog which affects games similar to DO, and allegedly it bots for a specific amount of time which doesnt allow DO to track it. For every step DO puts forward to stop the cheaters, the hackers and program users find another way. Just play fair all the way. Now on to the thread, I think that the hours you play daily should get a bonus, if you play for more than 5 hours a day, maybe you should get added time to your rank or something like that.

  16. -_____- Then I'll quit D.O once the maps get crowded of bots again. Then come back when they get rid of them for 5 minutes lolz

  17. LMao. dont quit, just pop the botters lol
