  1. Hi Bigpoint

I have pretty much quit now as the game has been destroyed by cheats running rampant on this game, Don't worry I will not name names and that is against the rules.

I have seen my clan lose all faith in this game in the last 3 months and it is down to the same faces cheating over and over again.

I am leader of ZERO clan and have been playing the game since 2008, I have seen botters come and go, I have seen you try to fight it etc but cheats still run this game...

Does anyone that are involved of the running of the game even read these posts or are the admins just given stock answers to pass out?

Here is my problem....I spent thousands on this game and the last 7 years of my life playng your game...my clan is in gb1 and quite well known but I am losing players to another game.

Why don't you take action on the blatant cheats...its been years since it started and you let it happen.

Years ago you said it was impossible to cheat when the old client was running but now we all know that this is not the case.

If you cant sort this and ban the blatant cheaters on this server then I think that me and a lot more players should be entitled to some sort of refund as you have broken your own terms and conditions?

You are about to lose another clan from gb1 for good..please give a serious answer and not a ban because if you ban me I will be seeking legal action..

I agree, the focus now should be on cleaning up the game again. Inaction is leading more and more to believe it's safe to cheat again. They need to do something now as it is getting out of hand, again.

Here is the issue, I am a legit player, but I am very skilled at the PVP aspect of the game because of much practice. I am accused very often on my server of cheating, yet the players who accuse are constantly angry at Bigpoint because I am not banned.

So explain what is Bigpoint suppose to do when there is an enormous amount of accusations that are simply false, Yet the accusers blame Bigpoint and do not acknowledge any other possibility.
Even in an event where Bigpoint gets a (Somehow) flawless system to detect any manipulation of the game, there are still many players who are going to accuse others and complain even when they are wrong.

  4. Heres the point though Luke, Matrix said he is a veteran player and i played GB1 when he was clan leader so i can vouch for that much at least. What we have here is a player who loves the game and has invested alot of time and money and knows the game well, this isnt just another person complaining about possible hackers, this is a player who knows the game inside and out and for him to come here on forums and make a thread on the issue is a serious thing - especially for matrix, he doesnt really talk much.

I'm new, I don't know much about the cheats, but the bonus box botters is so obvious! Players repeatedly move in a fixed pattern and only the pet collect the bonus box, I can also find player do this but moving in a straight line! This really makes the developers look stupid.

Would be so easy to catch this too. The fact they persist day after day simply means other things are more important to them :(

  8. more important or they just don't know how?

obviously you can see a cheat from miles away but if they get banned, the cheater can ask for proof. no legit proof= bigpoint will be taken to court and they will lose money.

thats what its all about, money.

if what they do will result in them losing money they won't even try it.

this is also why i think developing a good script is too expensive and complex for them

I'm also still convinced they got some pay from the suppliers of the cheats which is why it took them so long to get rid of the blatant botters and autolockers but thats another story xD

  9. That's like calling me a botter because i sit afk on GA1 letting pet do all the work, have been called a botter so many times there, just because i only boxed and do gates. All i did was sit in a certain area, let pet loose and move every 5-10 mins to stay connected. Just because some of us let pet do the work, doesn't mean we're botters too. I sometimes use another tab to watch anime, and will switch back to my game tab to click somewhere on the map so my ship will move there and give my pet more to collect, but im still not botting.

  10. OK lets keep this to discussion level. Any flaming on here will get the post closed and earn forum sanctions.

The scripts against botters are very complex and do run all the time. We have weekly removals of players and the numbers are posted in the forums. Unfortunately, it does take time to gather the required evidence and take action as someone already pointed out. Feel free, as I do, to watch them botting safe in the knowledge that they will only be doing it for a short time before losing the account completely.

As for the accusations of cheating, there are many reasons it seems as though a player is cheating and not all of them are due to bots etc. Some have bigger screens and better PCs and gaming mouses. Some have a better link through the networks than others to BP servers. Often it seems from chat that there is a certain amount of sour grapes. Whatever the reason, making accusations in chat only serves to make the chat room unpleasant. That is why it is classed under flaming and therefore will earn a ban.

It is far better to let the scripts do their thing and keep chat yourself than to lose it because of someone you think is cheating.

I hope this answer is satisfactory to the OP.

    Regards

Not every veteran player knows this game as much as they think they do. On my server there are a number of older players who are down right terrible at the game. They believe since theres newer players out there that they can't beat, they must be cheating. Lets be honest the whole "I died so he must be cheating" is sadly the mindset of most people that are accusing. Cheats are gone, if you died its more than likely legitimately, get over yourself. (coming from an 2008 player aswell)

Still waiting... 20 player names still on my blacklist. And don't tell me I'm falsely accusing someone of botting without any grounds and adding them to the blacklist. Those typical botter cloaked in Vengeance or Spearhead flying around and taking same route every time with the pet out collecting boxes, will keep on going even when their pet is destroyed, are uncloaked, attacked and or even Singularity is use on them.

This is the point. No human pilot flies exactly the same co-ordinates and ignores all external stimuli such as pet being destroyed or being attacked etc. I have a video of someone who has been doing this month after month flying in a square formation around x-8 base pausing at 3 of the stations and flying straight through the 4th in a kind of curve. Simply not possible to repeat these actions exactly the same way manually therefore

"Feel free, as I do, to watch them botting safe in the knowledge that they will only be doing it for a short time before losing the account completely."

doesn't really fill us with confidence. Now more and more people are starting to think, "they are getting away with it, why shouldn't I do it also?"

And yes there are also people using so-called undetectable bots that give them cheats such as auto-lock and other such things.

  15. That number would be a smidge more credible if it also included which server from which they were banned. I know of only one botter that has disappeared from US-West and I'm not entirely convinced that it was from a ban.

Personally, I'd like to see usernames on the ban list, but you guys have said that can't be done for "privacy reasons" but identifying the server should be a non-issue.

  16. Well the privacy reasons is bull, because if you remove their account then their claim to privacy is void because they no longer have any claim to said account unless they are not perma banning the ones they give count to in forums, and Also the game is so glitched and due to the lack of basic info and the randomness of limitless abilities of ships I do not know whats hacking and whats not half the time. Most people have all these rumors about glitched ships, i know this secrete i know that. Developers need to do something to make the game run a lot more smoothly then it is now.

As for the hacks such as the ones beyond bots I do not even see how they are possible with that info needing to be processed by a data base, not referring to glitches abused in game, so that is where I stand wit the hacking issue.
