Combo Guard Mode

ive read the description but i need to know what it does in game cause the description is not very helpful

 

when its on your pet it makes it harder for nmes to pop your pet
lvl 1 Deflection chance: 65%
lvl 2 Deflection chance: 75%
lvl 3 Deflection chance: 85%

So on lvl 1 out of a 100% , 65% of there lasers will miss your pet making it harder for them to pop no one uses this as it is useless

Combo Guard Gear creates a temporary instant shield for your pet while having guard mode activated simultaneously and in the process consumes 35% more fuel. So it can be used only when your pet is attacked by a player since NPC's cannot attack your pet.

so basically its a waste of time during pvp ? also has anyone used it in pvp and was it at all useful?

Personal opinion, I would rather use Combo Repair Gear since it can be beneficial to your ship.
