Why are there commercials on Premium accounts? Even through playing the game page, I am seeing commercials.

snowefall, The logon video is provided to all for a bonus 100 Uri as stated above. You can click the "Don't show me any more videos" link to remove them from logon.

I do not mind the 100 uri. However there should be a limit to the length of the ads. Some adds are way too long for 100 uri.
"You can click the "Don't show me any more videos" link , >> When I click this I am taken to the payment screen and there is no place to un click the ads. Also the page has frozen on many occasions and I have had to relog as many as 4-5 times to get by the ads.
I do like the free uri.

Could you please give this a try:
Log out of the game... go to your browser and clear the history.

Then go to the flash player - here is a link> http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html
(This is an actual web page - not just an image)

Delete All the websites in the Website Storage setting Panel.

Then re-log in to the Game, Hopefully this will resolve your issue.

That may or may not work for you. I have been told that keeps it from picking some ads that are related to sites you have looked at online on your own but I used to get some 45 minute long infomercials. Its been a while since that has happened, but got a 20 minute one yesterday and I only use my browser to play DO and to pay bills. With my vendors all on favorites, and funny there is never anything from them, I do not see how a lot of these ads get selected... At anyrate, give it a try.

 

Just use AdBlock on Google Chrome, you still get the 100 Uri

 

They need to get rid of that one. My son's noob account showed it and it crashed. It took me a good twenty minutes to get the blank, frozen ad window to go away. All the ad windows have a tendency to crash too often, needs looked into.

EDIT: They don't show up on my main account, just my son's new account.

I had adblock but it got to be cumbersome so I got rid of it. The ads for the most part are much better. As long as I am not getting any on a regular basis that are more than 5 minutes, I am not complaining.

Consider yourself lucky.

 

if bigpoint delivered as good a game as it makes out there would be no need for advertising, i just spun 350k uri on a b g gates and got 1 alpha and 1 beta!! takes the piss and then some

Can i ask the original poster whether as a premium member, do you get a commercial every time you log into the game? Normally once you have clicked 'Don't show me any more videos', the videos will stop (yes, the uridium window appears but you should be able to close that, and the ad normally closes shortly after).
