DarkOrbit login email offer glitch!!!

My son received an email from darkorbit offering a login bonus of uri, creds, etc. He doesnt play much and gets these from time to time...

here's the mssg

Aggressive aliens are making our lives difficult; we need each and every one of you. We have prepared a huge bonus package for your successful return:

• 5.000 Uridium
• 100 jackpot currency for your jackpot
• 1 valuable banking doubler
• 1 month of free premium advantages
• 1 DMG-B0 Damage booster

When he clicked the button to "Secure Bonus" it opened a game screen with his username....but a different userID and reset his entire account, started in 2009 as if he were just starting today...no XP, no honor....completely wiped him out.

We sent an email to support but there should be a warning to all not to open this offer....and DO should disable the backend code until this is fixed.
One more frustration with the clusterbomb that is dark orbit.

 

Are you sure that it was an actual email from Dark Orbit and not a hacker? Also, make sure that your son is on the correct server.

 

Hi.

Tell him to log in again and then change server, These emails are sent out to encourage people to come back to the game on servers that they may have played in the past. The link from the email will log them into that server. If it is not your sons regular server then clicking the "world" icon on the top left will bring up the server lists. He can then switch to his regular server and will find that his ship and everything should still be there.

If this does not work I will need him to post in the tech section with his correct user ID number and I will check his account for him.

I must point out that this is false. I've received countless emails from DarkOrbit with such offers, only to find out it's started me on a new server.

Methinks it's a way of getting more money out of me, but hey, it could be a glitch.

 

That has never happened to me, I usually get those emails back onto East 3, the only server I play on.

 

Harley....thank you.... he didnt check his server and when he switched servers it took him back to his old account. He didnt get the reward from the email but at least he knows where he's at. Still think that the email redirects you to a different server is a glitchy thing. TY too Cooljack.

Lol, I got these emails before and took advantage of them
Go one week w/o logging on: 10,000 Uridium + 1 month of Prem
Two or Four Weeks w/o logging on: 30,000 Uridium + 2 months of Prem
You only get this once, and if you accept the first one, you won't get the 30k one. But I don't know if this still works :3
