DarkOrbit on Steam- Launch of New Unity Server FAQ – Global 5

General information
We are proud to announce that DarkOrbit is now available via Steam: If you want to join our game via Steam, here’s the address: DarkOrbit Reloaded bei Steam

Together with this, we are launching a new server which you can register to and play it via Steam. It’s called Global 5 – Callisto. But there are some specifics for this server:

• You can play on this server in Unity via Steam only!
• If you want to play it in Flash, you cannot register via Steam

Here’s how you can access the new server Global 5 - Callisto:

Enter Global 5 – Callisto via Steam:

• Sign in to Steam and search for “DarkOrbit Reloaded” to locate its homepage
• Click the “Install” button
• Once the installation is complete, launch the game. For first-time Steam players, Global 5 – Callisto is set as the default server. This means that the server selection is not available during your initial login via Steam).
• When you enter the game for the second time, you can select a server on the same interface as usual.

Please note: Entering all servers including Global 5 – Callisto via Steam makes them Unity only!

How to access Global 5 - Callisto with an existing account:

• As soon as it is live, the new Global 5 - Callisto server will appear in the server menu
• If you already have an existing account in DarkOrbit, you can access the server menu and click on the server Global 5 - Callisto
• The following information appears on top of the menu

• If you click on the blue link, you will be redirected to a download page:

• Click the link to download the Unity client

How to download the Unity Client with a brand-new account:
If you don’t have an existing account in DarkOrbit yet, you can use the following Unity Client Download Address, to download the Unity client and to register an account directly in the Unity Client: https://www.darkorbit.com/download.html

With registering an account directly in the Unity Client, an account on the new server will be created.

If you create a new account via DarkOrbit.com, your account will be created on the Global 4 server. If you create a new account via Steam, your account will be created on the Global 5 server.

Some information about the new Server:

• Training arena and UBA cannot be accessed in this server!
• QZ gate as well as the Immunizer recipe will be available

New Dawn – new server event
The New Dawn event on the new server starts on 3rd December and its an infinite event (no end date).

To give all players that are starting their new adventure on the new Unity server a boost for leveling up, we implemented some new Leveling-Up Missions to the Unity server only.

7-Day Daily and Challenge Missions
For the first 30 days after the launch of the new Unity Server, you can finish these Daily and Challenge missions. You need to complete the 7-Day Daily Missions in a row. If you don’t log in for one day, you will lose the missions and rewards of the day.

Improvements on Unity servers
We also introduce some Quality of Life improvements on our Unity servers only (!) which helps you to have a better gameplay experience.

1. New red dot notifications for the following situations

• Crafting completed
• Dispatch completed (with claimable rewards)

1. Galaxy Gate related

• When the gate progress bar is full and can be created, the “Prepare jump” button on the UI interface will have a spinning circle effect to guide clicks.
• After a gate is created in the scene, the gate on the minimap will have a green circle spreading out as a notification.
• Mouse over the “i” icon displays key drop information for each gate, distinguishing between guaranteed drops and probalistic drops.

1. P.E.T. related

When switching to the P.E.T. interface in hangar, the system will check if you currently have a P.E.T.

• If yes, no pop-up window appears
• If no, a pop-up window appears guiding you to purchase a P.E.T. from the in-game store. Clicking this button will open the P.E.T. tab in the in-game store:

• Required levels will be displayed on the locked maps

1. Level Boosting Package

• The package window will show up when you reach level 5. It appears every time you level up, starting from level 5.

• If you click to purchase or close the interface, a new icon will be to the top right corner of the screen, allowing you to easily access and to make a purchase at any time.
• Once you purchase the package the icon will disappear, and the pop-up will no longer appear.
