Design creation and update thread

  1. So I've been thinking and think these need some tweaking. Lightning design. Nice, but very short lived, and not even that good a boost. Suggest increase in time or boost.

    Solace design. Nice, but outdated. Aegis greatly outdoes it, aegis has better cool down (by a LOT) aegis can heal more than just outfit members, aegis heals shields, and has more abilities. Only advantage solace has is its map wide for outfit. Suggest increase to 100% hp repair, add a instant shield heal of x amount (a percent wouldn't end well I think) and maybe a 15 second after effect 100% shield absorption rate?

    Creation: there are 3 healing goli designs and 2 damage. Suggest new design? Perhaps 50% penetration increase? (Would not stack with moth or double arrow) or an increase to hp damage similar to diminisher but hp? Or maybe a venom type that drains shields? OR a design that increases accuracy on all guns and rockets to 100% for x duration? Or perhaps a design that increases outgoing damage by x % but decreases shield absorption by 100%? Just tossing ideas out there :)
     
  2. Vengeance suggestion: NO. I do have Lightning design, but the only thing that is capable of catching up or staying with it is another vengeance or a spearhead. The boost may seem little to you (what do you have, credit engines? LOL) but it really is a massive boost. Makes ya go faster than a spearhead.

    Solace Suggestion: NO. Solace is not meant to be a heavy repair ship AT ALL (and I use Solace, too). You want a good repairship? Use an Aegis. And also, a Solace can outperform an Aegis (assuming that they are UFEs). Don't believe me? Well for starters, a Goliath does more damage than an Aegis. So much damage, that it can dish out more than it can heal. That's where the repair skills come in. The Aegis repairs over time, whereas the Solace's ability is an Instant 50% HP repair for yourself. Now look at it like this: Solace + Full Hercules + Hearth Formation + HP Booster. That gives you a total of 528,768 HP. Counting the ability, it heals 264,384 HP, giving it a total of 793,152 HP. Try and beat that, Aegis.

    Creation Suggestion: Red X to all of those. There is only 1 Goliath design that heals you, the other 2 increases your defenses. Solace, as mentioned above heals 50% of your HP + 25% to any other outfit member on any map. Sentinel makes your shields take in 30% less damage for 2 minutes, and Spectrum decreases your laser damage by 50% and incoming laser damage is reduced by 75% (please check if I am right :p), but leaves rockets unaffected.

    The other types (except for the Venom to drain shields, that's just gonna be another useless venom, enemy EMPs and you just wasted your ability) just seem too OP to be brought in, that'll make every UFE a heavier noob crushing force, stronger than they already are today.

    Right now, we should just focus on improving gameplay, not adding these ridiculous things in. Another suggestion, please read around the forums and see what others are requesting, there have been similar requests to beef up Lightning and Goliath designs, all of them denied by a majority of players. The designs are fine as they are, but when they first came out... 2 hours of cooldown, ouch.
