ditch some drones?

This is a question for those of you who have taken the time to do the math on the benefits of upgrades. I'm no good at math, so I'm appealing to you. Here's my question: would 8 drones with all havoks be better than 10 drones without (since every drone has to have a havok for the boost to be in effect)? Wondering if I should ditch 2 of my drones until I get a 9th and 10th havok design...

 

No it wont be the same , even if it was better to ditch the drones having 2 less drones is still a big handicap so at some point u need them to feel the real diffrence.
Answering your question just for the sake of the argument to see if 8 havocs 10% damage boost on 16 lf4 (lets take the max power) is bigger or smaller then 20 lf4 without 10%(zeus +apis 4 extra lf4).
each lf4 makes 200 (damage x1) x 16 =3200
then 3200 x 10% =3520 in total damage
on the other hand we have 20( zeus + apis )* 200 =4000 damage on x1
18 x 200 = 3600 (only with apis drone)
so with more drones u make more damage with both or just one
i understand the difference its not too much with x1 but i did not put in calculation sep extra boosters drones bonuses etc. so when u go to x4 the difference is much bigger .

so I get from this that it is best to just keep all 10 drones and not worry about the havoks until I have 10 of them... I kinda thought so, but like I said, math is not my strong point... Thanks!
