does pincer design give 5% in gates

pincer design Increases laser damage by 3% against "other players" and provides an additional 5% honor point bonus, so does this mean pincer does not give 3 % against npc's.?
and if i am in a gate, will the pincer design give me 5% bonus on honour?

 

Pincer bonus damage does not effect NPC.

However the bonus honour does effect NPC rewards as well as the overall gate reward, so twitching to pincer at the end of a gate before you get rewards will result in you getting 5% more honour from the rewards.

 

thank you, i appreciate your reply.it just caused a bit of confusion, as on the map toolbar if you put cursor over drone formations only says the design gives 3% damage but on back page in shop, it says 3% bonus damage to other players. now i know thank you.
