I am wondering why the system used to sell and item is set up so that the player is at such a huge disadvantage. Here is an example. Last year I purchased a vengi for 250k uri. Today I get a mail explaining a new design is available but only have 3 days to purchase it. It would cost 250k uri same as my older vengi. I go to sell my old vengi and see that I would receive 75k credits. 75k credits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me????Talk about taking advantage of a customer !!!!! I guess this game is designed for millionaires and not the average person. Who in their right mind would take a loss like that?? I understand DO wants to make money but come on folks, I feel like I am getting REMOVED at these prices!!. NOW I understand why so many people I used to play with over the years left and said to me" wait till you have to sell something. DO will stick it to you". I am not that stupid to make a deal like that. I will keep what I have. Have to watch out for myself since DO sure as hell will not.

I think you are misunderstood. In order to equip the new design for the Vengi, you will need to have the original vengi. Here is a thread that can help explain it thoroughly: How to change your Ship Design .

I am thinking he is possibly thinking about selling the other design. Calm down and breath. This is a special power design, like the lightning. All designs of this caliber, vengi and goli alike, cost the same. As far as the special purchase, just buy another hanger and use both designs. Hmm, it just hit me you are talking about the special including a vengi as well. At any rate, use them both. They both have advantages to be capitalized on. Get some friends together and create death squads, and have fun. But most of all, calm down and breath.

 

Thanks but no one is getting my point. I went to see what I could sell my vengi for in case I wanted to buy something else.I was given a 75k credit price for the ship that I paid 250k uri for last year. I am well aware of how to purchase, what I need to have to purchase a ship. <My point is if someone buys a ship for 250kuri how can DO in good faith only offer 75k credits instead. It always seem the players are the ones getting short changed more and more in the game now.

I guess the reason is since items can be obtained in auction for credits then you can't sell for uridium otherwise insane profit could be made but if you bought something for uri you should be able to get some uri back should you decide for woteva reason to sell.

when I started playing there was no such thing as an auction so yes I used uri because I had no choice. Why do you find that so funny??

Agreed, especially since the descriptions of ships/ designs are not always clear (even though you could ask someone before buying it :I)
Nevertheless, I would like to see a refund for items / ships that you bought WITH URIDIUM. I think this could be a good strategy to help people choose the wright ship based on their own experience, rather than buying something, realizing that you failed and possibly quiting the game. I think I'm going to make a ship guide, if one doesn't exist.

 

We need good design descriptions. They need serious help.

 

I give this man JASS props. I have never laughed at a forum post this hard before. I've been on this games for year and have never spent money on a ship. First off, you can not sell a ship design. You can sell the ship, granted, but you'll only get credits. It's how it works. You don't get uridium for selling items because they can be obtained for credits easily. Otherwise, BigPoint wouldn't make money to keep servers running. I started this game in the old client, back when DarkOrbit turned 3 years old. This was when we had old resoultion NPC's and Hellstorm was just an idea. The whole purpose of additional hangar halls was for those not wanting to change design, or those wanting to have multiple ships (as with the introduction of the super ships, Citadel, Aegis, and Spearhead), and the introduction of the Pusat design has raised many questions, including the reasoning as to why it's incredibly ugly. Yes, the Goliath used to be the best in the game and many people, myself included, still prefer to use it. Nevertheless, if you didn't realize this before, you probably won't realize it in the future, because this has always been the system. The Pusat is a Vengeance skill design, as the same with the Lightning. If you want to use it, buy it and equip the design. Hangar -> Equipment -> Design. It's not hard, my 7 year old sister figured it out on her own instead of raging in the forums.

 

But vengi is and always was 30k uri.. how could one buy it for almost 800% more..
You're either talking about Lightning design or you're a bit disoriented. And think about it, you can get ship designs in the auction with credits and then selling them with uridium would just collapse the entire game economy.

Hey JASS, the only one with smart ass remarks is you. Vengeance ship is 30,000 Uridium and the Lightning Design is 250,000 Uridium. You not going to get uridium back, end of story. Your choice to buy the Pusat is yours to make, but you don't have to sell the ship. And if it took you this long to understand it only sells for credits, I'm sorry, you don't understand basic game economy and you should return back to Roblox.

 

Because from 2013 and onwards you can buy a veng for 10k credits.. Also you said last year you did purchase it, so the auction was there.
