Drone damage exemption ended early?

I noticed in my log from Sunday November 2 that I had a drone destroyed:

02.11.2014 - 05:41		Ship repaired.
02.11.2014 - 05:41		Repair credit used
02.11.2014 - 05:41		Drone repaired
02.11.2014 - 05:41		You have been destroyed by a UberSibelon alien ship.

The Halloween Event announcement said:

Since the event notice states the event ran until November 2 (and it was clearly still going on throughout that day with pumpkins, ghost bosses, bat formation availability, etc.) and my log shows my ship destruction occured on November 2, why did my drone get destroyed?

I observed in the prior days of the event that drones were not taking damage, as my ship had been destroyed a few times and I checked because I knew I had one sitting at 98% damage.

Had I taken the event notice at its word and removed my drone repair chips to make room for other equipment then there would REALLY be an issue. As it is I would just like an explanaion as to why that happened.

Even if it was a no dmg on drones event, nobody would leave their drones at 98% just rep them

 

It dose not say in what you posted you lost a drone it just says.

If you lost a drone it would say drone destroyed
