European Team Cup 2016

Greetings Pilots!

The European championship is in full swing, and since we love a little extra excitement, the DarkOrbit team will host the European Team Cup – a contest between the best European players for in-game prizes, entertainment and glory! The participating countries are represented by a 7 player team, and you can participate!

Tournament Format

The matches will be played in a best of three format, 3 rounds at 5 minutes each, whoever wins two rounds wins the match. In a round, two teams of 5 players each will fight against each other, the team who has the most eliminations after 5 minutes wins that round. Should there be no eliminations after 5 minutes, the round will be restarted.

The single elimination bracket will be released closer to the start of the tournament.

Your country needs you! If you are from one of the above listed countries and want to participate, please head over to the recruitment forum thread below and form a team with other interested Pilots. Each team needs 7 players, 5 will play, 2 for backup.

The final deadline where the team representing a country has to be set is June 19th at 18:00 UTC. After this deadline has passed, a moderator will forward your information to us and we will get in touch with you to set you up for the tournament!

Schedule of matches

The matches will be played according to the following schedule:
- 23rd of June 18:00 CEST (UTC+2): Round 1
- 24th of June 18:00 CEST (UTC+2): Round 2
- 1st of July 18:00 CEST (UTC+2): Semi Finals
- 8th of July 18:00 CEST (UTC+2): Grand Final

The following prizes will be handed out according to the final positions:

1st Place Team:

· 1 year premium
· 1 year advantage pack
· 1,000,000 Uridium
· A special in-game title​

2nd Place Team:

· 6 months premium
· 6 months advantage pack
· 500.000 Uridium
· A special in-game title​

All Teams who attend receive:

· 1 month premium
· 1 month advantage pack
· 100.000 Uridium
