Flash player lag.

This is not much of a technical issue but I think it may be caused by the flash players. Now, the thing is. I disabled that weird flash player thing from the settings place okay? So the original was left enabled and I thought to myself, the game wouldn't lag if I play for like 40 mins now. 40 mins later the mb hits like 900mb and fps reduces to like 13-26? Then later on my shockwave crashed (i forgot why) and I used the other weird flash player, same thing happens in 40 mins. So now I only understood one thing, even though you say 'disable flashplayer causing problems' I get lag with each one anyway. So is it something to do with my computer or the way the game is running?

1. Try using different Browsers.
2. If using Google Chrome - Re enable the flash and turn the Adobe one off.
3. Have you checked for any recent updates to your browser?
4. Have you checkec for any recent updates to your Java?

Ahh, so the update for java which I keep ignoring may have been the problem. There is also the factor it happens on Mozzila Firefox and Safari as well. So I think i'll try updating java and then see. Thank you Narada, Astraea. Oh and NARADA, I hate SOS now -_-

No, after the last update it is recommended that you disable NPAPI flash player and enable PPAPI (Pepper Flash) for Google Chrome.
You may look at this post, which has a picture to help you enabling and disabling correct flash version for Chrome. Read the entire thread for more details.

 

There is an issue with the latest flash update and chrome.

There is also issues with load speed for most with any browser, so it is questionable if the two are linked.

If you are having problems loading a DO page, apart from the normal fixes ( clear cache flash cache etc.) If you reduce your browser window as small as possible to be able to still click the start tab, it will significantly help with loading the page.

 

Any idea if the Peper flash is being fixed, because i have to play with it enabled and it gives me config change lagg, lagg every 3 seconds and stuttering when jumping through portals- Not really acceptable is it, whats changed to ruin it again

 

Reading this thread may help you. There was some time and effort put into it by the OP and those who helped him.

As for Pepperflash being fixed, well that would be on Google to do since it is a problem within there browser and not something that BP can control.

U can use "Google Chrome" browser.. it doesn't want flash player & gives better service than other browsers (I Think). & I use it too

after updates, deletions and updates again the hanger, gg area, home page still does not load on just about every server. Ive gone and checked over 30 of them and they all have the same problem.

 

Some people haven't listened (mods for example) but I have explained this issue.

The flash player, created by adobe, is bugged, not as bad as it once was, but it is still bugged. The memory is clogged, and begins to build up. (words by an adobe employee) they don't know why it does it. NOW, DO comes into play. The game is so laggy, and un-cared for, it is making things worse, which leads to a crash after so much builds up.

For example, I sit in 5-3 for hours, we have 200+ eic in there. and sometimes wars break out, and enemies raid, which leads to more graphics on the screen, (lasers, rockets, smb, ish, emp, ect.) This causes it to crash for me sometimes.

Now if DO would fix their lag and stop acting high and mighty like they have no issues that everyone complains about, the flash wouldn't crash so easily. And adobe needs to get smarter people not "nerds sitting on their butts all day acting like gods" <--- quote from an adobe employee who does not work with flash, the game would be a lot more simpler for people.

See DO thinks this game is played only by rich people for some reason, always making expensive updates, and running this game like everyone has a $2,000 computer... well very few do, maybe the top players of each server do, since they got to the top with the money they spent or the botting they did.. However, my point is, the employees at BP will not fix the lag that exists and keep blaming our computers.

 

I'll support this comment, by taking the simple fact that my server best, spends around 2000$ every 6 months on DO. He got a Alien Ware and many other stuff for like 5000$ So I think I may understand that. Thing is though, I feel DO has gotten a lighter heart towards the players in terms of questing but they still haven't really solved much of our problems. With every new update is a bug (which obviously means many loopholes in scripting). So I really feel we need to MAKE IT A GENERAL IDEA NOT EVERYONE IS LIKE AN AMERICAN WHO GETS A NORMAL SALARY. I live in India and compared to someone in America, Britain, or even UAE our salaries are too low to buy the high ranking stuff.
