Forum Hardware + Software Sections?

    Nearly on every online game forum there are sections to discuss hardware and software related problems.

    Players will be able to discuss and compare game performance based on their Hardware and Software set ups.

    Also troubleshoot those annoying bugs which occur in drivers released from their developers, also flash player can be discussed if versions are buggy etc.

    I have no idea why BigPoint have not implemented these sections into the forums years ago, as these kind of forums can help players bypass support and prevents players from putting their fists through the screen during unstable play if they are assisted by fellow users.

    On nearly every release of Flash Player, Browsers, and Drivers, I have troubleshooted my own system configuration with various tweaks and fiddles (IE: The current FPS issue of which I have managed to reduce on my own system using advanced tweaks).

    I would appreciate a section like this too, could be very useful for people to optimize to just get that extra boost in FPS.
    However (there always seem to be a however :( ) DarkOrbit seem to be really adamant on keeping the forum sections exactly as they are and exactly the same for every language, which is frustrating. I know the mod team have asked a few times to have the English section altered to add, remove, change sections etc and have been told no.

    Maybe you could get away with making a thread on it and having people pitch in there?

    I do not have any objection to the idea. We did used to have several threads with various technical suggestions in the previous Forums (although they ranged across several sections).

    I have tentatively created a thread in the Newbies section to see where this goes. We may move or link it elsewhere later if needed, but it seems a good place to start:

    We would obviously prefer that any issues be reported in the Technical Issues section, so the aim will be more FAQ-based in nature rather than necessarily troubleshooting problems.
