Fuel consumption by PET economic Protocols .

    Welcome.
    Can anyone explain how the protocols economic level 3 or how much to consume fuel PET assumption of these protocols .
    According to my calculations come to some absurdities .
    According to the formula:
    The formula for fuel consumption is expressed → Consumption per minute = 1 + ( [level PETA ] * 2 ) + ( [ number of protocols equipped with AI ] * 2 ) + ( [ number of mechanisms equipped ] * 4)

    that is, as I have assumed 5 minutes of radar and four economic level 3 and a mechanism for the collection of raw materials are:
    1 without a reduction in fuel consumption -> 1 + (15 * 2 ) + 9 * 2 + 1 * 4 = 1 +4 +30 +18 = 53
    minus 4 * 4 % = 16 % less fuel consumption which should be 53 - ( 53 * 16 %) = 44.52
    consumption per minute should be about 45 units .

    But do not bet as economic protocols are:
    1 + ( 15 * 2 ) + ( 5 * 2 ) + 1 * 4 = 1 30 = 45 +10 +4

    So fuel consumption of economic protocols and without them the same.
    Is not that absurd ?

    Yes it is completely absurd that when you add the fuel protocols they end up using almost as much fuel as they save. You will need many thousands of hours before you recover the cost of buying them and any saving after that is marginal at best.

    All they need to do to fix this is change the calculation to + ( [ number of protocols equipped with AI ] *1 ) or even + ( [ number of protocols equipped with AI ] * 0 )

    Everyone would benefit, people who have been mislead into thinking a lvl 3 fuel protocol would save them 4% fuel use would benefit more and BP might sell a few more fuel protocols since the way it stands right now, it's pretty pointless.

    BP just need to exclude Fuel protocol from calculations, and even better, why not making one more slot only for Fuel protocol

    Take it from someone who has 12 fuel protocols. They don't save you anything -- waste of a lot of uri
