    General information

It’s time for an all-out PvP battle! Battle and win to gain Reputation, climb the ranks and get rewards during the Galactic Strife event.
In the beginning of the event, all players start with a Reputation score of 500. Whenever you win or lose in PvP battles, your Reputation will be affected. Your aim is to get the highest Reputation score in your server! But be aware that winning against the same player repeatedly in a short time span will lead to lower gains in reputation points.

Benefit from the new Reputation bonus that is granted for the first 10 unique player kills of the day!

There are several Reputation Milestones: If you reach them for the first time, you are getting a reward package once. The event rewards will be given out according to the highest final scoring of the players at the end of the event.

Take advantage of the different Fever Effects during selected hours each day! Enjoy boosts to ships and free repairs at your base or at the nearest gate if your ship is destroyed on Galactic Strife maps.
Collect the Galactic Strife Battle Pass Keys that you can exchange into your favorite rewards!

    Please note:
This is a PvP event and therefore, it will only take place on the normal servers – not on the PvE server!

Nevertheless, the Battle Pass with different, not event-related objectives will also be available on the PvE server! Also the Battle Pass Exchange rewards are slightly different between the PvP servers and the PvE server.

    PvP Protection

All aspects of PvP Protection will be the same like in the last events, except the following: The PvP Protection will be removed once you enter any of the Galactic Strife Maps!
If you lose reputation 3 times in a row within 60 minutes, you gain a PvP protection for 60 minutes. Please note that only players who have level 17 and below can get a PvP protection. When under PvP protection, you cannot be attacked by other players unless you attack someone else first or if you re-enter a Galactic Strife map.

Please note: Players under Level 6 cannot lose or gain reputation, but they will still contribute to others’ reputation per Kill ratio.

If you gained a 60 minutes PvP Protection via dying 3 times in a row within 60 minutes inside a Galactic Strife map, the PvP protection will be removed when you exit the map and enter another Galactic Strife map. If you died and revived in a Galactic Strife map, your PvP Protection will continue. It only gets removed when you exit and enter another Galactic Strife map.

The PvP protection will be removed if a player in PvP protection uses the following items:
    • Mines such as ACM-01
    • Special ammunition such as EMP-01
    • Tech items such as BT-1, ECB-1, Chain Impulse
The PvP protection will also be removed if a player in PvP protection
    • enters TDM, Training Ground, UBA, or Refraction Zone
    • shoots a Spaceball
    • captures a beacon (during Capture the Beacon/ Sector Control event)

    Reputation System

In the beginning of the event, all players start with a Reputation score of 500. Whenever you win or lose in PvP battles, your Reputation will be affected. Your aim is to get the highest Reputation score in your server! The Reputation rank will remain below the players’s name during the event on all maps.

Only players level 6 and above can gain/lose reputation. Killing or being killed by players below level 6 does not affect your reputation points. But take note that killing players below level 6 will still affect your kill count, therefore affecting your reputation per kill points. Players below level 6 can still complete the Objectives in Galactic Strife.

Reputation can only be increased / decreased while fighting on Galactic Strife Maps: 4-1, 4-2, 4-3 and 4-4. If an opponent shot the player and left the Galactic Strife Map, it’s possible for the opponent to get reputation if the player died on the Galactic Strife Map. There are 2 important things to notice:
    1. The former 1.5x multiplier to Reputation gain/loss when fighting on the Galactic Strife maps will be removed in this event.
    2. The PvP protection that you gain if you lose reputation 3 times in a row within 60 minutes (see explanation of PvP protection) will not apply if a player dies on non Galactic Strife Maps!
The reputation will be calculated like the following:
    • If the player deals 80% of damage to the player that lost, then the reputation gained will only be 80%
    • Only the top 2 damage dealers to the player will get points
    • If any of the damage dealers deals less than 10% of the total damage, the player doesn’t get points.
The smaller the difference in reputation between you and your opponent, the more reputation you can gain! If the difference in Reputation is too large, it is possible you do not gain any points. Reputation gain also depends on the amount of damage dealt to the losing opponent. If there is more than one player attacking the losing player, only the top 2 damage dealers will gain Reputation (based on their damage dealt). If you deal too little damage, it is possible to not gain any Reputation.

    For example:
    • Player A has reputation 920 and Player B has reputation 900 -> the reputation difference is 20
    • If A wins, A will gain 30 reputation and B will lose 30 reputation.
    • Player C has reputation 1000 and Player D has reputation 500 -> reputation difference is 500
    • If C wins, C will gain only 10 reputation (less reputation compared to A's win) and D will lose 10 reputation.
Please note that numbers mentioned above are only an example to explain the system and are not accurate to the actual reputation awarded.

If the reputation difference is too large, it is also possible to not gain any points (and it will still affect your Reputation per Kill rank!)

Targeting the same player repeatedly also reduces the Reputation gained each time you win. The number of times you win against the same player within a day will be tracked and added to the reputation points calculation.

The time span is reset at 00:00 LST each day.
    For example:
    • Player A kills Player B in a PvP fight entirely by himself at day 1 (00:01)
      • Player A’s value of “Consecutive Player Wins” against Player B equals 1
      • Player A gains the full reputation gained from killing Player B
    • In the next hour, Player A kills Player B again
      • Player A’s value of “Consecutive Player Wins” against Player B equals 2
      • Player A only earns half the reputation gained from killing Player B again
    • Player A kills Player B in a PvP fight entirely by himself at day 2 (00:01)
      • Player A’s value of “Consecutive Player Wins” againt Player be is reset and equals 1 again
      • Player A earns the full reputation gained from killing Player B
Summary: Winning against the same player repeatedly in a short time span will lead to lower gains in reputation points.

    Reputation Bonus
For the first 10 unique player kills of the day, the reputation is increased:
    • This only affects the winning player’s end gain. It doesn’t affect the loss amount from the opponent.
    • The list of unique players killed along with the bonuses will be reset at 00:00 LST each day.
    • Reputation gain is 1.5.

    Battle Pass Objectives

Please note that all objectives can only be completed on Galactic Strife maps (4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 4-4) on the normal servers.

There are different Battle Pass Objectives on the PvE server and since the Galactic Strife event only takes place on the normal servers, there’s no map restriction on the PvE server. Please check the items you can get for the Battle Pass Keys on the PvE server in the game directly or check out the Black Light Rankings FAQ.

Battle Pass Keys for Galactic Strife

On top of earning rewards directly from each Battle Pass objective, you also earn Battle Pass Keys (BPK) that you can use to trade for rewards of your choice from the new Battle Pass Reward Exchange window.

New Unstable Modules (event only): ZPVP
During the event, we introduce new unstable modules which can be obtained via Battle Pass reward and Battle Pass Boxes. Each module has a chance of being usable on more than one ship.
Overview of the Unstable Modules event series:

    NameDescription
HP-ZPVPAn ZPVP series unstable module is so unstable that it very rarely settles into any useful configurations. However, when it does, this module results in top tier HP related modifiers. This has a higher chance of affecting Diminisher and Tartarus ships.
DMG-ZPVPAn ZPVP series unstable module is so unstable that it very rarely settles into any useful configurations. However, when it does, this module results in top tier Damage modifiers. This has a higher chance of affecting Diminisher and Tartarus ships.
SHD-ZPVPAn ZPVP series unstable module is so unstable that it very rarely settles into any useful configurations. However, when it does, this module results in top tier shield modifiers. This has a higher chance of affecting Diminisher and Tartarus ships.
SPC-ZPVPAn ZPVP series unstable module is so unstable that it very rarely settles into any useful configurations. However, when it does, this module results in top tier laser hitchance, rocket hitchance, evasion, speed or shield penetration modifiers. This has a higher chance of affecting Diminisher and Tartarus ships.
