Game Glitches

Recently I have noticed that during Portal jumps the Portal's appearance changes and backgrounds, portals, etc., disappear altogether. Also, I'm still finding that the game tends to freeze up and a white screen with a "!" in the middle of a circle appears. What's going on? I feel sorry for paying customers.

 

Oh so it's fine if free players deal with this but when it's a WW support/admins have to drop everything to help them lol, anyways some of these are known and reoccurring, I think the white screen has to do with flash crashing, it might need an update, not positive.

 

Hey, I'm a free player, unless I go Premium every now and then! Anyhow, that ! mark and white screen has become a Royal pain in the Gluteous Maximus !

But the moderators will tell you to do the same first step, try clearing your cache. Have you already tried this?

 

White screen is flash crashing, doesn't need an update. As i have told DO numerous times, and they haven chosen to ignore it, the flash player is bugged.

Someone who works on it has stated "for some reason, it seems that the flash player is bugged. The memory just keeps building up due to a bug, and then crashes."

And with the lag DARKORBIT DOES HAVE! It makes it worse.

Thanks º¤»ĐЯΣΔΜ◊†◊ÐΣМΦИ«¤º. I'm also finding, as of late, that the game is taking up a lot of memory and my computer starts sounding like an old 386! cooljak96 yep I did say Butt, but in a nice kind of way.

 

What I do help reduce game is I optimize my computer for best performance. I set my computer to gaming mode which is some presets to close out any programs that do not need to be running at the time. I also CCleaner to clean out any unwanted old files and that clears all the cache from mozilla, chrome, IE if you use any of those. And I run about 60 fps on a 1.65ghz laptop amd dual core. But you may get some lag from the game it self from time to time. I will also suggest to right click the screen while you are on the star map and go to settings and switch the memory that DO can store on your computer to 0 that also helps me. A fresh computer restart will also help.

 

I freeze up alot while fighting, only started over the last 4 days, and on GE1 server, i'm not the only one...

 

Thats to be expected on a bigger server like GE1 because there is much more demand on the server from all the players. I would suggest if nothing is working, you should look into upgrading your memory, or getting slightly better pc. However is this game really that important to get a new pc? If you know about computers you could also look into building your own.

 

All I know is that the problem is so bad that I can no longer play the game and it's only "THIS" game that has the problem. And I also know for a fact that it is not my computer.

 

Okay, Adobe just came out with a new version of Flash. Supposed to fix this problem and others. Just downloaded it. Lets see if fixes the problem... NOPE! System still crashes especially after making jumps! Not fun when it crashes during a battle and you end up being destroyed. PLEASE GUYS FIX THIS PROBLEM.

Yes, they've been happening for more than a month now and only with this game. I have mentioned it in previous posts and have contacted Administration, but the problem is still present. The game crashes and goes to a White page that has a "!" in the center of it. This also tends to show up where you see items in the store section. I have ended up losing many a ship in battle due to this. If you could please fix the problem I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

P.S. I have cleared my Cache and have even downloaded Flashes Beta 13 and the problem is still there.

 

1: Make sure background is off in game, the maps take up A LOT of flash, especially
5-3, 4-4, and 4-5. And the new background graphics require a lot more than before.

Uninstall flash player, and then put it back in, sometimes it might help out a bit. I can't say it has to do with a bad computer or anything because mine is plenty good with plenty of RAM yet i crashed like crazy before, and only just recently had it when i jumped into 4-1 during scoremageddon today.

Also, download Comodo Dragon for your browser, it is chrome but better.

When you do that, if you have chrome, get rid of it.

Then go to settings and go to extensions and Delete All the crap there. This reduces the lag greatly.

If none of that helps, get firefox, as firefox is so bad, it doesn't care about dmg done to your computer and lets you continue going with the flash over clogging.
It will ask if you want to keep going or not, just hit yes and the flash won't crash, but sometimes may freeze if you try to do anything while it accepts that yes.

 

Disable "Hardware Acceleration"
