[GI] Boxing limit

Is the uri/gg reduction still in place for those that box for a while? I feel that after an hour/2hours my uri/gg income hugely decreases.

 

I didn't have an issue with that and I recently boxed for 13~ hours straight. Ugh. Not doing that again.

 

yes its still an issue. through a 4 or 5 hour period i barely scrape by with 30-40k roughly. and i make around 20k in the first hour with the uri dropping significantly after that. been like this for a few yrs now. time they put it back to full capacity. why should legit players be punished for the cheats. go figure.

 

Throttling for boxes. Its not just for ISP's anymore.

Definitely, I have random urid bursts then i get nothing. Makes me question of my doubler purcvhase is worth it.

As far as i am aware (since we have not received any information otherwise), the bonus box rewards reduction system is still in place on the game. Therefore if after several hours the rewards you are getting are slowly diminishing, then it is most likely this system starting to take affect on you. We don't have the exact details of how the system works, but it does normally reset after a period of time without boxing.

The diminishing returns on boxes was implemented to deter / nullify those ships who used external programs to box 24hrs a day.

As someone who enjoys boxing and has purchased the doubler to maximize gains... I think the question is why are we (the honest customer / player) still being penalized by this system, if the use of these illegal programs has all but stopped?

 

True. I have only seen 2 bots, though I am on a semi-dead server.

 

exactly. that's what i keep wondering. after all , support keep saying that scripts are in place to catch all program users and are 100% accurate at catching them. so, why have the boxes kept at a reduced rate for those who are legitimately boxing and trying to get the use out of the 8 week doublers we have paid for ? why should a manual boxer be penalized as well? not fair. and also, we are paying for a full price doubler yet getting a reduced capacity boxing session. boxes should either be turned back to full capacity, or the doubler reduced in price until the boxes are turned back up.bigpoint penalize the cheats that are technically trying to steal from them, but bigpoint in turn, are no better than the cheats that they say still exist as they are stealing from the legit boxers. double standards.

 

Nowadays , we don't have so many bots but they are still some .
They are a lot who use mouse recorder ( they record a track and repeat it for a lot of hours , while pet collects ) . The most easy way to stop this guys , is to appear an enemy which kill their pets and as the algorithm is only for the track they won't know how to repair it and they will rotate all over the map without doing anything . In my opinion , it should be a way to record their path and if they repeat it perfectly for some time , it's clear that a computer does that .
Then we have the truly bots . They have 2 ways to collect : themselves + pet or only pet . Those who only collect with pet use pseudo-random numbers for random coordinates and movement . Moreover , they have several functions with image searching so they can repair pet or themselves when they get destroyed . I don't how you can demonstrate they are botting because all it's randomised and if you ask why they don't collect , a simple answer will be because pet has salvage protocols so it collects more and etc . Those who collect with their ship too , try to look legit but however these pixelbots which are used ( in general ) are inneficient and the ship will collect very few boxes .
Not in the last , we have a version of bot ( flash based or something simillar ) which can compete with those from 2011 ... It has a lot of functions and is a lot efficient than the others . Fortunetely , is expensive and not a lot of people use it , but it has also other battle functions which also destroy the pvp aspect of the game . In my opinion , this is the one which is the major issue .
I don't understand how someone can demonstrate that something randomised is human or AI and this is why i don't really know if that players will be banned . . If some of the information is not suitable to the forum you may delete it .

As you may see they still are botters , but i don't think that diminishing is the solution at all as it affects legit players too .

 

I don't see many if any boxing cheaters but then I might not know one if I saw it . DO has and runs scripts to catch them and does.
This is not 4-3 years ago when many earned their way, the easy way ( by cheating) it is 2015 and the return should be rolled back pre 2011.

A lot more, yes. I honestly miss the bots. It made the game more alive, unfair or not, plus PvP quests were finished easily

 

You get full reward from boxes during first hour you collect them, I dont know what is the cool down for that or how many aliens you need to shoot to get full reward from them again. After 1st hour the uridium gained is reduced around 25% and after 2nd hour another 25% or so. After that it's very unclear to me since sometimes I seem to get steady 10k uri per hour with only pet collecting no matter how long I box. Sometimes however, the uridium gained in 1 hour drops down to 3 - 4k/hour (only pet collectin) and I have box doulber + tracktor 2 + 9 salvages in pet. Also extra energy gains are reduced after you box a while.

When I have boosters I often collect boxes with my ship + pet for an hour right after I have logged in to game, I get some 25k uri + 80 - 120 energy then I go shoot aliens, hunt or anything and after some time I do another box session for an hour with full rewards again. If I dont have boosters, I dont care. I just box on my second screen with my pet while I do something else on my main screen.
