[GI] Can't Equip Drones

Hello!
I've bought some drones, "turtle" formation.
I have a Leonov and when I click the "Drones" tab it says that I don't have any drones.
I see them in my inventory when I expand it.
What's going on?

 

That would be because you bought a formation a shape for your drones which provides bonuses (and negatives) you have to buy at least 4 DRONES before you can use that formation.

You need 4 Drones for 3D formations. Basic 2D formations still need 6 drones.

Check that you have the 6 drones Iris or Flax's it doesn't matter. if it still doesn't let you select the Formation reply.

no hes saying you need at least 4 drones for the formation to work you should read the full description before you buy anything

I hope you understand this. the "Turtle" Formations requires 6 Drone's not 6 Formations, 6 Drone's Flax/Iris

Check your information please before you insist on statements. Drone formations, 3D or 2D only require 4 after they were released no matter the formation. He only needs 4 drones of any type. OP you bought a formation which you cannot use without drones.

Drones hmmmm... My question Do you have any drones on your ship? Drones you can buy in shop or win them in Auction for credits...
You can not equip drones that are not there... you have to buy or win some first then you can add formations to them.

What the system is telling you is correct that you do not have drones to load anything on. So, you can buy some Flex drones in shop with credits then your formations will work also you will be able to add lasers and and shields to them for protection that you will need

 

Thanks, I get it now, you must have drones. So drones are like soldiers, and formations are basically stuff that they can learn to do. Thanks again everyone.

 

Turtle Formation
Augment your drone control unit with the Turtle Formation.

Increases shield power by 10%, but laser and rocket damage decrease by 7.5%.

As long as you have 4 or more drones, you can use this formation any time after you‘ve purchased it.

 

drones are little robots that fly around your ship they hold lasers and drones or whatever you put in them... If you put more shields then you will have more shields on your ship if you put guns then you will have more fire power... you can put slot gear on them too... you have to make sure to check the damage on them every time you get kill they get a little damage once it gets to 90% to 100% damage they will pop and you have to buy more and if you have them leveled to 16 and they pop you must buy new drone and level it up again

With the recent updates, only 4 drones are required for any formation.
Drones are automatically equipped to the ship on purchase, but you may customize their loadout from the Hangar page.
Formations allow you to increase one or more stats, at the loss of one or more other stats.
