[GI] Cant Receieve Email from Darkorbit

  1. Hello Admins,

    I want to change my password. but when i do from account center , there is no verification link received onto my email address.

    and also i am not receiving any kind of newsletters from Darkorbit aswell. i tried to contact with big Point support as well and i m receiving there tickets email but i cant receive anykind of verification link email from darkorbit.

    Please help me.

  2. Did you check to make sure your email is correct in the account center? Also, did you check your junk folder? Newsletters don't always come to everyone. It sucks I know but is the way it is. :oops:
     
  3. I had this issue and Support had to remove my email address from the blacklist. They could not tell me why I had been placed on this list but after they did this I was able to change my information. I too had issues receiving the emails from D O / B P but all of the Support tickets came through without a hitch.
     
  4. yea i have checked all the folders in email . My email is correct and receiving big point tickets email. but no dark orbit emails.
    the main problem is bigpoint support assure me that i am not in black list and furthur they dont tell me anything regarding why i cant receive emails. but somehow i feel that there is a problem with darkorbit support because these emails are generated by computer servers from darkorbit and they not responding to my REQUEST

    I'm sorry you are having this kind of issue.

    First of all, support tickets and emails from the game are separate things based on different systems. Support tickets will always get to you no matter what (if you do not blacklist them yourself, of course). However newsletter and other emails related with the game solely are different, their sending may be stopped, if your email is blacklisted (that may happen for example because of inactivity), or you are not registered for newsletter (how to register can be found >>here<<).
    If you already contacted support and they've assured you that your email is not blacklisted, you should be normally able to receive verification mails, as HelpMeHelpYou stated.
    But, from my personal experience, I encountered a problem with email provider and mailbox settings, when they blacklisted bigpoint's email adresses on their own. If it happened to be your case, this thread might help: Whitelisting your Email FAQ.

  6. I had this exact problem when I tried to change my email address as I was having issues with HotMail/Live and the switch to OUTLOOK. I fought for over a month trying to get the email address changed to my OUTLOOK address I sent screen shots and even requested for them to make the change (added 2 numbers and the site change) after several communications it was researched and the only explanation I was given was that my address had been blacklisted, The account was part of TGC and I was not even getting the newsletters even tough they were turned on, now even with the changed email address I am getting the newsletters in the old mail also.

    I found the "whitelisting" to be confusing as the information is not actual addresses to be added to your safe sender list, it also did not seem to make a difference.

I have done all the things which you recommended me to do so. i also added the emails of support of darkorbit and bigpoint as well into my hotmail. and still i am unable to receive the emails. my problem is i want to change my password and i just want to receive a verifaction link THATs IT. Please try to help me the support is really useless to me uptill now.
     
  8. As I said it took several tickets to get SUPPORT to finally fix my problem when I tried to make changes to my account. After sending in screen shots of the fact that I had done as they say (changing in account settings) and finally getting them to understand I was not getting the email to confirm the change, they finally fixed the problem and they told me it was because, somehow, my address made it to the BLACKLIST, with no further explanation than it is usually caused by an account having emails bounced back to them. Again I was told 4 times there was nothing wrong with my address when they finally got the message and had it fixed.
