[GI] cheats and whats happening to them

    Hi could us players get some assurances that efforts are being made to remove the cheats on the game, we are well aware that you are removing the npc botters but these are little worry compared to the blatent pvp cheats on the game, so far this afternoon we have witnessed players using speccy ability for over 2 minutes, the usual auto locking and now also players going through insta shields as if they have no cooldown. I can understand there are some players who are naturally talented but enough is enough when you have several players attacking one player and we can't even get through one of thier configs let alone have the silly idea of being able to beat them.

    well nixy1 had the same thing in 1-4 map noob hunting half flax popping all the noobs ime in pusatt he in goli chase him through all maps thing his hitting 50k plus hit points not going down wots so ever,so i agree with you needs a full scan on gb1 server or the plod out

    Hello,

    Cheating in DarkOrbit is ever a concern today as it has ever been (in b4 "remember when support/mods said there were no bots" etc). The DO team & those responsible for dealing with all this are looking into what is next for detecting those playing unfairly to shut them down again.

    There isn't a timeline we can put on this for you, so I can only ask for your patience while they keep working on this. I realize that asking for patience in the face of unfair gameplay can be frustrating and trying, especially as this isn't something that -just- goes away, but there are efforts being made to deal with this despite it taking time to do so.

    So while I can't really say when all these efforts may be incredibly visible again (anyone remember July 2013?), I can say this is still a priority, and they are working on dealing with those who are cheating and making sure they can continue to clean up the game for the community

    That said, I am going to close this thread as we do have an existing thread regarding cheats & bots, which is where this conversation will ultimately be redirected all the same.

    I hope this might serve some to reassure you this isn't being ignored above:)
