[GI] Demon Drone Design

Okay, I'm a little ticked... I have been waiting for this event for awhile and even bought premium for it. I was under the understanding that the demon drones are Cosmetic designs. I got 3 of them off my gate and what do I find out? They are now Stats drone design the same as Havoc and Hercs! What the heck is with that?! Also I never got one on the last demon drone of the gate like the descriptions say... REALLY not impressed!

They have been stat drones since last year, your fault for not understanding it. Why would drones that give you a bonus be cosmetic? That would be dumb.

 

Bad that they were on the cosmetic chart but they did put a bonus column in it just because of it. Its the third stat drone, one that was discussed at length last year.

 

Well that sucks! Yes they put a bonus column but the way it is written, it is a bonus to a cosmetic skin. There is an entirely different thread for the stat drones which only includes hercs and havocs. That is flat out misleading and false advertisement! I just got back from a 2 year hiatus from the game. Who in their right mind would choose that bonus over havoc for attacking? That would be just stupid and it is such a minor bonus. Now if they were ACTUALLY cosmetic and gave that small bonus they would actually be worth something...

As per last years introduction, they are a STATs design. Each design gives a 1% rocket damage boost and a full set (all currently equipped drones - even if you only have 3 drones and 3 epic designs) will give an additional 5% which will last until you increase the number of drones and at least one does not have an epic design.

 

The bonus it gives is so minuscule that even with 15% extra rocket dmg from bio, 10 drones and using Chevron drone formation with PLT-3030's you get only an extra maybe around 1.5k~ dmg on average-ish off using them(5% decrease in cd barely worth mentioning)... So yeah it will barely help someone who is "starting from scratch".

Though ofcourse cosmetic with bonus is a bad idea cause then would need to give other cosmetics bonuses and would kinda defeat the purpose of them which is just choose whichever like the look of, aka cosmetics. What they really need to do is buff the rocket damage bonus(/maybe cd decrease as well) cause only time could be better to use them instead of havocs is if you dont have many lasers on drones... but then there are hercs 15% bonus more shield for shields that are on drones and 20% more health... Kinda a no brainer, so if they actually care about them they would buff/make them better.
