  1. I am not entirely new to the game but i have been away for quite some time and need to be updated on a few things. Skylab is one of them, how do you use it? Can you make deposits to it? How do you continue to build and update the nodes? I would greatly appreciate any assistance that can be given to me . Thank you.

  2. Hi foxx01(I.C.P.)
There is a beginners guide to building the Skylab >here< for you and the full DO 'bible' in all its glory is >here<... some parts I gather are not entirely up to date but searching the Forum will usually produce the answers you need :)... It is no longer possible to send rocks to the Skylab from Ship

  3. lol what he said ;)

  4. SkyLab is a one way transfer raw material collector and refinery. Keep your collectors 2 levels above your refineries and when you have enough COLLECTED ORES start a refinery upgrade primary (Prometid/Duranium) or secondary (Promerium/Xeno). By the time the primary refineries are down to the time needed for the collectors are going to take to UPGRADE you should have enough rocks collected to start them also. The other thing to remember is the Basic Module needs to be 1 level (completed) above whatever anything else is to be able to build the next level.

My normal build started with collecting the rocks to build the Basic Module twice (started level 3), build the Solar and Storage modules when the second Basic was started and if enough rocks start the collectors upgrading (but remember you want all 3 going at the same time). After you have done this twice (Basic is building to level 5, Solar and Storage building level 4, Collectors building level 3) start the Primetid and Duranium refineries. Your next level of Upgrade would start the Modules and Primary refineries (assuming there are enough collected ores available) allowing the time to run down on the refineries to equal the time needed for the collectors to upgrade before starting the collectors to upgrade (should give you enough rocks to build them). Once the Primary Refineries come up then add the Secondary Refineries to the mix adhering to the above rules again (as long as you take the items up in a group and not individually) you will not have any problems being able to collect enough rocks to upgrade the collectors when the Primary Refineries get to taking the same time for the collectors to upgrade. The Seprom can be started at the same time as the Promerium, assuming you are not going to need the Promerium for credits when it is running (I usually built it every time it came up so it was not actually making any Seprom) but it was building the entire time, until it was the only thing left to build, the amount of time required to build the Promerium (level 17) and Seprom (level 14?) at this time is out the window.

Again to attempt to clarify, once I had enough ore to start the Promerium/Xeno or Seprom Upgrade I did it without regards to any of the other groups. The Modules were started before starting the Primary Refineries (Prometid and Duranium) and looking at the time needed for the collectors started them by the time the Primary had that amount of time left to complete so you had at least 5 items come online at the same time, I even at times had all 10 (Seprom, Promerium, Duranium, Prometid, Terbium, Endurium, Prometium, Storage, Solar and Basic) items finish at the same time (Xeno was always too fast even ran it twice to a Promerium sometimes). Doing this I never had to do anything except wait for the collectors to generate enough rocks to start both of the Duranium and Prometid refineries at the same time, I was sending rocks (Promerium, Prometid, Duranium) for credits as often as I could, yes the payout was not large but it did assist on the build of the SkyLab. This process had my SkyLab up to level 20 in 30 days (Seprom and Promerium were the exceptions) and currently generate enough rocks to make one transfer a day to my Citadel, with premium, and have nothing left, when I did the transfer, in the SkyLab. I use the rocks to complete 2 daily quests (Prometium Deficiency 5000 units and Earn Credits 1000 Prometid), turn the Duranium Refinery off for 3 minutes, and use 1 credit robot to collect the Prometium. With my Pet and Pilot Bio my Citadel receives 12,314 (12 hours 19 minutes) from the SkyLab and I only get 9120 from the Promerium and Seprom so the Terbium or Endurium are sent to make up the difference in the cargo space (except the daily quest days). Without premium my Citadel takes 12000 (24 hours) and I still have problems keeping extra rocks in the lab to send a full load.

  5. This is a video on how to build your sky-lab.

Just some more info for ya. The video is a step by step how to effectively build your lab.
To completely build the lab to all level 20 will take you a month at least.
