Hey, when upgrade hour comes along and it's 25% off, if I get the rebate and have premium does that mean I will have 55% off upgrades for that hour (25+25+5)?

yes this does count its how most ufe players do it .. and also the best way to do it mate . if u have upgrade hour and prem and rebate to get a lf4 to lvl 16 takes less then 75k uri

  3. Just remember you can not get an item fully upgraded in an hour. You will have to have the rebate for several Update Sessions. I got mine to level 6 on one session but then the time taken takes so much longer from there out, and since I am having other issues with the game have not BOUGHT any more from DO because I am unable to use the functions that are NORMAL to the game and support can not help solve the issue.

altho this is true idd like to point out that upgrade hour isent on reguly so try and save some uri

  5. First I think this is what you tried to say (I corrected the QUOTED text)

The upgrade hour is 7 pm every other Friday and is going to be on this Friday (Nov 6) and again Nov 20th. I would suggest buying Uridium on Sunday Nov 15 (MHH) and have it ready for Friday Upgrade Savings Hour.

  9. It will not stack perfectly, if you have -30% from discount package and premium the 25% will come to that amount.

If normal price is 1000u, discount package and premium will make that 700u and the bonus hour will make that into 525uri. This has been tested by many people including me. So it is 47,5% discount not 55% discount during upgrade hour. But it still is pretty good :)

Darkomaani is right, yes they stack, but its just 47,5 at all and not 55%. I tested it myself and was mad few year ago.

  11. Okay to do the math on this the stack works this way;

the premium and rebate 30% discount = rate to get additional discount on

the Upgrade discount is now applied to the 70% rate, not the original.

So in essence the 25% Upgrade is an additional discount instead of an entire discount, this is the way NORMAL discounts work anyway so it is different with what we think of as stacking items in DO but the real world gives the discount to the adjusted price and not the original price, and this is what this discount is doing to the price of the upgrade.

  12. In other words the discounts are MULTIPLICATIVE and not ADDITIVE (yeah I'm a math tutor :D ).

    Additive means :25% + 25% = 50% total off. 100 - (100 * 50%) = 50

    Multiplicative means : 100 - (100* 25%) = 75, now take 25% off the NEW number....NOT the original 100 .... 75 - (75 * 25%) = 56.75

Basically, when you are adding up buffs you WANT it to be Multiplicative (Dark Orbit does a WEIRD mix of additive AND multiplicative for boosters, sep, drones, upgrades etc....that's why its so hard to calculate max DPS these days.

CLEARLY when applying discounts you want them to be ADDITIVE, but DO decided that would be too much to give us and gave it to us Multiplicative -_- . For the record I think HelpMe is right, most stores in real life apply percent discounts Multiplicitavely, thus making you think you are getting more off than you really are....classic sales trick.

Last easy way to think about it: If you had two 50% off coupons, a $100 item would be FREE with additive percents 50% + 50% = 100% off , but still cost $25 with Mulitplicative, 100-50% = $50. ... now $50- 50% = $25

  13. Many thanks to everyone for their assistance in this thread.

Does the OP have any further questions?
