Regarding the Crab Drone Formation (F-10-CR) , Does it increase the damage caused by the SAR-02 Hellstrom rocket ?

the crb fomration does not effect ur sab dmg. all that the frmation does it simiply increase ur shield distribution to ur hp distribtuion .
if u have full shield mechanics then u will have a distribution of 98/2. if u were to apply the crab fromation then u will have a 100/0 distribution. so all damage u get will go to shields.
i may be wrong since i dont have crab myself. may oeone correct me if i am wrong with the information. thankss

 

First , with full shield mechanics your Shield/hull is 92/8 not 98/2
Secondly here's the formation description:
Increases shield absorption by 20%, but reduces speed by 20%.

 

fluffy still had it right will just make all damage go to shields make it 100% if you got better then 80/20

 

Yes your shield to hp ratio is 92/8, and it's absorption of your own shields. It effectively makes your hp untouchable to any aliens and players that do not use mines, moth, or kamikaze. What you're thinking of is what pincer has, the 10% decrease in shield penetration. Even so that 10% from pincer only increases the damage you deal to your target's shields. It does not "technically" increase the damage you deal on it's own, rather redirects the damage that would've gone to hp to shields instead.


So basically no, crab does not increase damage dealt by sar's because it is affecting your own shields. And even if someone used sar's or sab on you while you used crab, there would be no damage increase as sar's only affect shields regardless.

 

Understood , so to counter the moth , one shall use crab , right ?
so moth makes the ratio 72/28 , with crab it becomes 92/8 right ?
