[GI] Farming cubikon

I would like to ask some experienced players about their opinion about farming cubikons and actually about how it would be more effective.

I started soon and don't have many pilot bio ... no lf4 ... no upgrades etc... still 8 drones
I am planning to try farming cubikon with:
-x1 lasers !
-Kamikaze
-elite aegis
-may be 2 cofiguratios of 31 bo2 ad 10 lf3
-!!!!! Important question !!!! Diamond Formation OR Dome Formation ??? (with very low dmg of 10 lf3 may be Dome is more effective coz I dont lose so much laser dmg at all and shield is much more and rockets fight faster. This rockets will compensate -750 laser dmg . But shield regen will be weaker than with Diamond)

Which formation would you advice me to buy for cubi fight?
The target is to stay alive as long as I can against the cubi and kill as much as protegits with the kamikaze as I can and kill the cubi too !

And if you know some more effective way to do this pls share your experience.

I would suggest you use another strategy, 10 lf-3s is too low.

It came to my attention from another player that also wasn't ufe, not sure how many LF-4s he had but he had white drones

Do double battle config with full lf-3s on drones and ship and 15 shields. For formation you should use ring. Make sure both your configs are fully recharged before you start. He managed to do it on x1 that way, hope it works for you too.

Not sure about elite aegis tho, you will have a lot of shields so you might wanna get veteran for the extra shield power up.

 

Buy Diamond AND Ring. Use the huge shield of Ring first until the Cubi takes down your shield to 500K. Then use Diamond (reach 500K shield. Don't forget the boosters. If you have 30% CDR, you could kill easily the Cube, but 50% is "safer" ^^ (if you don't want to be low, when an enemy try to hunt)

The idea with ring formation was very interesting
This with cooldown boosters sound sounds very well - 2 boosters normal + pro = 18 000 uri = -50% cd ... this is 75 000 splash dmg in every 15 sec which sounds crazy ! May be with -50% cd its not very important what formation is going to use and how to equip becasue aegis will keep full hp and shield non stop. The income of uri will be so high and this 18 k uri for boosters will something like give something to take back much more.
By the way veteran aegis gives 5% bonus ex and hon ... not shield !


I was just reading in forum about kamikaze kills groups of NPC and you receive the uri from only 1 ... not from the whole killed group .. is it true ???

 

Nope you get all the rewards of those npcs that die from kami

 

It is my opinion that you need to have more guns than shield generators. I have my configs set with shields and guns split on the drones and all shields on config 2 and 5 speed gens on config 1 the rest are shields using aegis elite or any goliath ship and seem to solo the cube with 3 kami pops, of course I am not trying to kill all of the protegits but trying to kill the Cube and use sab and x-3/x-2 laser ammo.

It seems that in the Tunnel of Terror the Kami is glitched and if you are not attacking the NPC's yourself they are not giving you the kill rewards. The Protegits being popped seem to give you the rewards because you are attacking the Cube to get them deployed.
