[GI] Gift Bonus sales - double Surgeon case

Purchasing 330k uridium gives Surgeon Goliath design, among other things. But designs are considered "unique" items - it is not possible to have more than one (the auction gives an error when bidding on already owned design). And of course, it doesn't make sense to have more than one.

Will something else be given out for those that already own Surgeon, or is it just a lost chance on free bonus Surgeon, i.e. those who have it won't get something else?

Would be nice to see perhaps some sort of multi-tier for the 330k. 1st time get what is there now, 2nd time perhaps something more or equal value but of different things. Maybe an opened alpha?

Well it's nice, unless you already have Surgeon. They had to think about players already owning the design and offer some alternate design or "gift replacement". Since Surgeon is worth 350k uridium, I didn't buy anything... just skipped "gifts" this time.

 

So... Has anyone used the new Surgeon design?

I see it has an extra slot for Gens... Any suggestions for pvp performance?

On Topic: Yes I agree about the "gifts". Personally I wouldn't let the idea of "already having" the product given as gift deter me from a purchase, but it would be nice to maybe even have a "Multiple Choice" for gifts... just spit ballin' here.

You could possibly e-mail support and ask for a swap of something, like an extra herc or the uri for the design.

 

bisphenol, Unfortunately, at this time, there are no plans for any bonuses, that we know of, if you already have the Surgeon Design. As with anything they could add to a package, there will be those that already have X, or 20 of X. This is the same as any other game with a finite number of items. Hopefully in the future, a bonus item you need may be attached to a package. You can make a thread in the Updates and Ideas Pool to give the Developers an idea of what to include next time.

Well, it's too late now... though I doubt there would be enough time to resolve this given the short time the offer was valid.

If someone has everything, then he/she probably doesn't need the gifts at all. But even those that have 20 of X can be completely missing Y.
So the simple solution is a choice: "I don't want 21st X but would like to get my first Y, or perhaps 3rd Z".

I think it's quite simple.

 

As we can understand your frustration with the special packages as you currently already have the items being offered.
However the specials were designed to give players who do not have everything currently a chance to obtain these items.

I would suggest that if you have a better idea on how this could be handled, that you post a thread in the Update and idea area. So that it can be seen by the Dev Team, and possibly considered for the future.

@bisphenol Surgeon Design is 300,000 U., not 350,000 U.
