[GI] help plz

I have 3 issues

1. I closed my chat window and don't know how reopen it.

2. I have a ship full of seprom and don't know how to use it, I have a generator boost cpu equipped.

3. I have a drone repair cpu 2 equipped but can not get my drones repaired.

I'm a free player, so far I've just been boxing, buying items at the auction and building up my skylab, until I can get a ship built up strong enough to join a guild um err clan.

 

Hi, here's some help:

1. Press enter to open/close chat. Most people I speak to don't know about this being a hotkey for it.

2. To use the Seprom, go to the refining window (looks like a Rocket with a +) and simply drag the Seprom onto your Shield Generator or Laser icon.

3. The Drone Repair CPU 2 will only repair your Drones when they reach 100% damage. You can check how damaged they are in the Hangar.

I have the seprom issue worked out.

my drones damage is at 33%, is it worth repairing

still unable to open chat, enter didn't work

 

They will rep by themself if you have the drone rep cpu on both sides and have the uri/ rep creds to pay for it. And there is a chat tab located by the rocket+ tab that opens and closes chat.

 

There is no downside to having damaged Drones, unless you are destroyed when they are at 99% (they take damage every time you are destroyed). I tend to repair my Drones when they reach 80%- 90% damage, just so I don't forget and accidentally lose them.

A word of advice; Don't rely on the Drone Repair CPU. You'll hear every now and then that someone lost their Drones because the CPU failed to repair them when they reached 100%, however it's never been confirmed if a bug or not. Still, I'd say you're better safe than sorry.

As for your chat issue, ensure that you have the "Show chat" option enabled in your game settings (cog icon in top right by default, or elsewhere if you have moved it).

ox42, As suggested above, Please make sure Chat is enabled in Options. The chat window can be opened by clicking the 4th icon from the left at the top of your game screen.

I went to settings at the top right of the map page and was able to go to interface and reset it, that got my chat back and now the enter quick key works.

In the hanger after clicking on drones I finally noticed the repair button at the bottom left below the red sell button, the catch to repairing your drones seems to be that it lowers the drones level so you should be careful how often you do the repairs

issues resolved you can close the thread
