[GI] Issues with Titles FAQ and Rules

The rules stated in the Titles FAQ are either incorrect or the computer system needs a major overhaul and update. Problem #1 Titles will leave a person for No Reason Stated in the Title FAQ. I personally had got the title System Lord two separate times on two different maps and not even a minute later the title left me. The first time I was just flying around in the same map that I killed the NPC on to get the title and without dying at all it vanished. The second time I was on another map killed the NPC for it then killed a few more NPC and proceeded to go to jump a portal but before I jumped the title vanished again and I did not die or stay in a DMZ for 2 hours.

Problem #2 Whoever said that if you die in a Galaxy Gate you WILL NOT LOSE your title LIED. I know a friend who died in a Galaxy Gate and their title WAS TAKEN. My friend was being very careful not to stay in the Galaxy Gate for more than 2 hours because that is how they lost it before but this time they died and it WAS TAKEN.

I am very frustrated by the whole title thing since I and my friends keep losing them for reasons not Stated in the Title FAQ.

 

Some times a title will vanish for no valid reason this is a glitch and the only way to get the title back is to win it again. If you get killed in a GG you do not automatically loose a title you have won, I have been killed in a GG and kept a won title the only time I have lost a tittle is by being in the GG for more than 2 hours so your friends information my not be 100% accurate. If you die on normal maps either in PvP or PvE then that tittle will go to whoever got the kill. If you do not log in for 48 hours or stay in a DMZ or GG for longer than 2 hours then your title is passed to a random NPC.

 

some of this is incorrect i have been absent for hours on end at a dmz and not lost title first thing is its a 24 hour limit if u do not shoot anything or move from dmz in that time u will loose it there old school rules also if you already have a title and u defeat a player who is holding a title yours will be lost to an npc as u gain theirs ... if however your enamie does not have a title and kills u it will go to them .. i am aware that there is a glitch that u lose titles for no reason not long after u receive them but u cannot do nothing about it i don't no the rules behind gates due to whether or not i've spent 1 hour or 6 hours in a gate if i ever died i would lose the title i am carrying . i hope i have been of help is there anything els you would like to no on the subject ?

 

USS-Aries Have you ever died in a GG before? I have now died twice in a GG and lost my title as soon as I died and I WAS NOT in the GG for 2 HOURS. I only stay at max 1 hour to make sure I don't lose it. The Rules in the Title FAQ are 98% wrong or there are just A LOT of Glitches.

 

To answer your question, I have died in GG when a lag spike froze my ship and a BBK took me out and my title was not lost. I still have my Battle master title on GB2 .

 

If I am logged in and sitting at portal, will my time be counted?
No. Your time is not counted when sitting in a Demilitarized zone.
Also if you sit there to long, you could lose the title.

If I go in an Invasion gate will I lose my title?
Yes, if you enter in to an Invasion gate and are killed you will lose the title.
only way you will keep it is if you stay alive until the Invasion gate ends and it jumps you out to a base station.

If I die to an alien will it take my title?
Yes it will.

Will I lose the Tag in a Galaxy gate?
No you will not lose your tag if you die doing a galaxy gate.

Will I lose the Tag during a Team Death Match or spaceball?
Yes you can lose the tag during this event, if you die.

Does my time count when doing a galaxy gate?
No, This is considered a Neutral zone.
If in a Galaxy gate to long you could risk the chance of losing the title.

Can you get a title from a member of your own company?
Yes you can... But we don't always recommend you shoot your own company for a title. As it could start other issues.

Where do titles go on ships that don't log back in?
The are placed on random NPC/alien on random maps.

How do you find out who has the tag?
Located in the Hall of Fame - As shown Below

Can A Level 1 Player get a tag in the X-1 map?
Yes.

Is the X-1 map still considered a demilitarized zone for level 1 players who have tags?
Yes it is a demilitarized zone and you can only be in there for about 2 hours before you will lose the tag. *** Best suggestion is level the ship up quickly and move to the next map.
