    Currently making a program in Python that calculates how many GG spins you need for each gate, assuming you click 1 spin each time AND you use multiplier every time when you get one.

    So can I ask, if you multiply a multiplier with x2, do you get x4 multiplier, or do you get x3 (so it adds to each other or multiplier?)

    And if you have x6 multiplier and you hit a multiplier, what do you get???

    Thanks :) this is to know how to make the code execute.

    Will share program on forums once done :)

    Was curious about this myself so tested it out on a Lambda which I had 45/45 parts for, the result is pretty interesting.

    When I was given a multiplier then used it and received a GG part it gave me this message:

    [IMG]

    So basically telling me that I received a gate part but since the part cannot be used it also gave me some x2 ammo. I went and checked the log of the GG spinner and I have essentially "lost" a spin.

    Code:
    <boost>
    <items>
    <item type="battery" item_id="3" date="1461863164" amount="240" default="1" gate_id="8" />
    </items>
    </boost>
    <boost>
    <items>
    <item type="part" duplicate="1" date="1461863161" gate_id="8" part_id="19" />
    <item type="multiplier" amount="1" date="1461863161" />
    </items>
    </boost>

    This is the result of the multiplier I used. You can see 1 was used, so just a x2 and that multiplier, and it gave me 1 duplicated part. Then since the part was a duplicate the generator automatically spin for me again, which can be seen by the chance in date value.

    However the resulting ammo I got from the automatic spin was not multiplied, so the initial duplicate part I gained was a "lost" or wasted spin.

    ^^The above is a mistake on my part, the ammo I received was infact a 120 x3 that was multiplied to become 240^^

    Ultimately though it does appear like if you get a duplicate part from using a multiplier it will not give you another multiplier, it will just re-roll the spin again.

    Hope this is helpful, if I haven't explained clearly enough then please let me know.

    Just a side note:
    If have a gate with 1 part left, e.i your Kuiper is on 99/100 and you use a x2 multiplier and get your final part for the gate, then you will get that part + one of the other things available from the gg spinner.

    The bad news is that once you complete your program you won't necessarily be allowed to post it in the forum, against the rules to include download links etc.
    However this does sound like it could be very useful to a lot of players.

    It could be worth a trying asking support for permission to post it in the forum and see how that goes, otherwise your only chance of giving it out to other players would be in non-official forums.

    That's awesome, this will benefit the code development. Do you have skype? Would like to add you :)

    Yes, my skype is owning-peeps

    I've made a mistake though, the ammo value of 240 that I was given is actually a 120 that has been multiplied, I didn't notice it was x3, thought it was x2 when writing out my response ^^ So there are no 'lost' spins as I described them.

    If you're GG is incomplete and your multiplier lands on a duplicate part, it will give you 2 parts you need instead, from my experience.

    Actually, you never get a multiplier. You get a gate part. If the part exists already, you get a multiplier. So you can't multiply a multiplier. You go from x2, to x3 to x4 ...
    If you're on x6, the multiplier is automatically on the next item, so you get 6 gate pieces, or 6x whatever ammo the gate produces.

    But this doesn't matter anyway. If you use your multiplier every time you get one, the most you will ever get is x2 the gate part or the ammo.

    If no more gate pieces can be produced, you get ammo in stead, as illustrated also by the above.

  6. Ok the gates multiplier actually mean gate parts that you already have , let's take Epsilon for example :

    In theory you need to get 99 spins , each having a chance to drop of 13% (from my experience i seen that the amount of gates+multiplier goes to 20% rather than 13 , if i decide to use today's event maybe i can come with some more accurate info from 2-3 gates)

    Ok so bassically you have 99 gate parts that you need , 1st part will have a 0 chance of droping a multiplier since there is no other part already existing , at the second part , bassical from that 99 parts only 1 will give a multiplier (the chance should be: 1*13/100 and for the rest 98*13/100) , and bassically the should be something like:

    (n)*13/100 (for the multiplier chance )
    (x-n)*13/100 (for the gate chance)

    where x stands for amount of parts you need (epsilon 99 , delta 128 , etc) , except ABG since they are odd
    and n should be the number of gate parts you already have

    Extra info , every time you hit a multiplier and get a part (even it is a part you already have that part) you will get reward as gate parts since they will trasform the parts you already have in parts that you don't , so if you use every multiply at x2 , you will never get x3.

    But we already have this thread: http://www.bigpoint.com/darkorbit/b...ally-a-real-world-application-for-math.61129/ whitch is preaty accurate if you ask me .

    Edit :
    epsilon 1 = 99 parts/95 mult ~1600 (12.125%) - hmm this one was not that lucky i might have been wrong about % earlier

  7. IF using MULTIPLIER and you spin a Gate Part it does not matter if you already have it it generates gate parts for you. This is why to complete any gate you have to use the multiplier to get the last pieces.

  8. exactly same thing i said

  9. Sorry for the duplication but I thought it was a little clearer when I said it.
