[GI] Moving an account to another server.

Hi there forumers,


Today me and my younger brother have decided to play Dark Orbit, but when it came to creating the accounts we both got put into separated servers.

I have been placed into Scandinavia 2 and he was put into Scandinavia, when we tried to change his server, the Scandinavia 2 is not on the list. As I have started a few hours before he did, I managed to get myself a decent 'starter' account and so did he after a while but we don't want to create new accounts just because of this issue with server lists.

Now, the question that we have - is it possible to move the account to a different server? such as mine from Scandinavia 2 to Scandinavia or his from Scandinavia to Scandinavia 2.

Someone said earlier in the forum (Don't remember how he/she explained it and what) but the reason why it doesn't show on your brother is because you guys are not from Scandinavian countries? Or something like that.

So maybe that's the reason, you "managed to get yourself a starter account and so did your brother" which in my eyes looks like that you guys bought accounts.
If that's the case, you guys will get banned because it's against Darkorbits rules to buy/share account/s and the reason why Scandinavia 2 isn't showing on your brothers account is because the person who created that specific account didn't live in Scandinavian countries.

OR because you don't/the person who created that account don't live in Europe. (So it's Europe or Scandinavian countries.)

And no, it isn't possible to move on another server.

 

Moving to NEW servers creates NEW accounts. One thing to remember is you are given a special package, can be seen in this >thread<, look at the Special Quest spoiler to see what the new account gets. As IamJarska said if the accounts were "purchased" you have a potential of loosing them altogether. If this is the way you got your accounts I would suggest creating completely NEW accounts if you want to enjoy the game, especially if you plan on investing in it further.

 

No, the accounts have been legitimately created today by both of us since GA1 server is bad to play on. So we decided to make new accounts today and start from the beginning. Which still cannot explain why can't the both of us play together on separate accounts in the same server. We used to play on GA1 without any issue, now he is not allowed to play on Scandinavia 2? :x

Creating a decent starter account does not take ages, just a few auction items including ships and extras. That is a good starter account...

Me and Him, "US" did not purchase, nor use or share accounts. The accounts have been created by ourselves MY account is MINE, HIS is HIS. We know the rules of this game as we previously have been playing it but we forgot the details of our previous accounts which we used back in 2011-2012.


What you wrote makes no sense to what I've asked for.

Btw;
- Both of us live in the UK in the same house. We use static IP and the accounts have the United Kingdom flag when we open up any window such as; purchase of uri or premium packs.
- Regarding your 'Living' in the country. You can create an account on any server - even if you do not live in that specified country.

Dude, I asked whether the account can be moved to another server, due to the server not being displayed on the server list...
What is wrong with that? The account has been freshly created on 15.08.2016..

"Elite Force Audition" is the very first mission when you begin the 'adventure'.


Would be very useful if a MOD banned you for writing this type of rubbish on forums.

 

Just go back to your first GA1 account and try to change servers from there. You may find you can both get into Scan2 if you are there. Right now, you can not get your account moved from server to server but DO is looking at making it possible in the future. I am sorry you two have gotten some good starts just to have to do it again, but it happens. I started on my own and lucked into US West and loved it, but since I have started playing all US East, Germany, GB1, and Turkish servers "from the same account." But like I said, you can try to switch servers from your original accounts and find your able to both get where you want to be.

 

Wish I could find the account details for that to happen :/ We wanted a fresh start on a nice server with new freshly made accounts. We picked Scan 2 because it seems like a nice and calm server, yet my brothers account cannot be moved from Scan 1 to Scan 2 but ah well.. got to live with it :x :/
