  1. hey everyone i don't really know that much about computers, i currently use a maybe around £200 hp laptop and have to play on the lowest settings, no backgrounds no nothing and half of the time it's just too hard to play, i lag too much while cubing, over half the time i die it's literally just because i'm lagging way too much, i freeze during big fights and can't lock anyone, what computer, not laptop, would i need such as what specs would i need to play DO on max settings with no lag? staying at around 60fps i'd say my max budget would be £600

  2. mhm you can try a dell desktop with the Intel atleat 2 but if you want a solo gaming pc best way is to built it with nothing but gaming components.

  3. If you have a Computer Builder in your area they can usually build one better and for the same cost as some of these ready to use computers that you can buy and have a lot better system for playing games on.

  4. I picked up this laptop last year. Compered to my previous Toshiba gaming laptop this one seems fine.

    $600 Canadian I paid.

  5. full throttle, can you run DO on highest settings? and what fps do you get

  6. Yes I can run on best settings but personally I prefer the blacked out map, with graphics only on mini map. Sometimes I will run on best settings just to see the maps as they should be but I find the graphics distracting when hunting ships.

    60-62 FPS on either settings.

Sometimes I will lag out during crazy cubes and during the Hitac event, but not to the point I can't play.
During these events I still can maintain 42-50 FPS

Taking your 600 pound budget into account having a gaming rig built might be a bit tight, if you go to a good out let and buy an off the peg desktop and have them do a graphic card upgrade to some thing like the Nvidia GTX 950 and a RAM upgrade to 16 gig dual channel (2 sticks of 8 gig). The retailer may also advise a power unit upgrade if the original power unit is not strong enough. This could work out cheaper as a builder will more than likely talk you into having more expensive hardware that would be an overkill if you only play DO. Another thing to take into consideration is your internet speed also if possible always use a hard wired connection rather than WiFi to give better performance as WiFi is a lot slower.
