  1. Hi All,

I want to know how a P.E.T. travel. I have seen P.E.T. just flying around getting boxes. Sometimes it pops in then pops out like it was uncloaking and then re-cloaking again. I look for the Pilot, but I see nothing on my mini map. My P.E.T. has a level 3 auto loot, but it doesn't do that even when I'm cloak. It stays cloaked when getting boxes. It never very far away except a few times when there is a lot to capture and it goes off screen. Then it flies right back to me.

  2. If you install some radar protocols, it travels further. It cloaks when it is close to your ship, and uncloaks once it reaches a certain distance away from your ship. Radar and salvage protocols are the way to go if youre boxing

  3. Something to note is that if the PET is "Out of Range" of its cloaked owner you will be unable to attack it. The Cloaking effect is only if the owner is cloaked also, but out of range is still an issue if you happen to like to kill PET's.

  4. I dont bother killing pets... the reward is nothing and it gives you no tactical advantage in a battle, purely because they repair instantly and if you damage them enough, then they can then kami you... which hurts sometimes haha. I just let my pet die, I have prem, so I lose nothing and the killer is just being annoying and will probably never fight you if they are shooting pets as they are too weak

On a match, P.E.T's actually give a huge tactical advantage. First of, if your enemy is running out of you, you can block these actions to be made, if the P.E.T is in range to shoot:
    • Usage of Combo Repair Gear 3, heals up to 125,000 (cannot be used at that time as the P.E.T is in combat, even if they repair it)
    • Usage of Evasion protocol and hitting control (if you manage to catch it)
    • Usage of SAB to own P.E.T to get shields (shields will be lost(?), again no point even after repair if that happens).
Most of the times P.E.T already has HP very low due to the effectiveness of Kamikaze in combats.

  6. Hi All,

You guys are making my head spin. So much stuff a P.E.T. can be.

    I have on my P.E.T.
Gear: Confi 1, Resource locator, repairer, auto resource, auto looter, combo ship repair. Repairer is the only level 2 all else 3.
Protocols: Confi 1 Shield x2, hit points, salvage, radar, fuel x2, cargo, Targeting x2

Confi 2, Gear Cargo trader, and Protocol Alien all level 3. The rest is about the same as Con 1.

So it looks like I might need to change a few things. I'll think about this more. I'm glad you are there for help.

    Thank you,
    Angus

    WarriorAngus,

Were you able to get your PET set up the way you like?

The best suggestion I can give you is to get gear/protocols at level 3. It is well worth the uri. Espeically the Kami,

If you spend a lot of time in 4 -5 get the Radar protocols I run 12 on my pet.

If you Kami a lot unlocking shield and gun slots should be a low priority.

    Thanks

  8. Evil Hot Dog,

Why have so many Radar Protocols. What does it do and why is it different than one or two of them. Don't you need the others too?

    WarriorAngus,

Like all other protocols, the Radar protocols, stack thereby increasing the range of the PETS ability to locate an NPC/Ore/

Level 3 Radar Protocols Specs: The radar protocol extends the range of all P.E.T. gear with a radar. The range of all collector and locator gear will increase by 12%.

When Running 10 because they stack I am increasing the range 12%x10 or 120%

Running 10 allows you to see most if not all of all maps except for 4-5. (With 10 Radar Protocols you can see roughly 75% of 4-5).

Any other PET questions I can help you with?

    Thanks,

    EHD
