[GI] PET question

I saw my PET miss the hit very often and I would like to ask is there any difference between the hit probability of the ship and the PET?
What is the chance for miss? 20 or 25%. I thought lf4 laser are like 80/20 but I feel Its worse.. Am I wrong?
Also how do you think, is it worth to buy 3 of this protocols which gives 4% better aquracy of the laser hit?

 

I do believe the PET has the same laser accuracy as pretty much every other NPC and player, a miss chance of 20%, along with the same damage variation of 20%.

And of course, getting even two should allow you to see improvement. Although I'm not sure how it is applied. It may be additive, 80 + (4*2) = 88%, or the [REDACTED] way, 80 + 0.04(80) * 2 = 86.2%. Either way, you should see a noticeable improvement.

*I bring up the two ways, because the second way is how the Xeno accuracy increasing chip works.

 

The targeting protocol improves the accuracy of your P.E.T's lasers by 4%. I have this mounted on my PET and do notice a considerable improvement with only 1 mounted.

I am mostly a PVP player and have my PET setup to best help me in this type of game play. It also works very well for doing NPC's/gates etc.​

Pet Gear...all level 3..
Auto looter, Enemy locator, Repair, Cargo trader +30%, Kamakazi 75K, Combo ship repair, Auto Resource Collector, Combo Guard Mode gives (Deflection 85%)
Pet Protocols all level 3 ..
Precision targeting +4%, Evasion +3%, Hitpoint +4%, Laser damage +4%, Alien damage +6%, Radar-x3, Bonus Box salvage +3%, Shield +4%

Yes Its worth for sure!
I already tested with 3 precision protocols which give 12% better laser aquracy.
I also use 9 dmg protocols for aliens which is 56% bonus dmg
+18% dmg from PET level
And now its really effective ...
Now with x2 ammo and 12 prometeus inside it has sometimes almost 20k dmg
And almost 200k on the new maps with the new ammo
