D.O. is an internet game and not a political back drop for some political agenda, by placing this
game in the middle of a political fire storm is a good way to drive people away from the game, who may think this is a political ploy to gather money for a political agenda. Yes it is awful
that there are so many refugees from the conflict in the middle east, but lets take a very close
look at a very real possibility that u r trying to raise money to help so called refugees who may
turn out to be isis or al queda, any other terrorist groups, trying to infiltrate our countries to
further their agendas, remember France and Boston, both were enacted by terrorists, who were so called refugees who were taken in by our countries, and turned on us. So pls don't politicize
this game.

This charity event running has absolutely nothing to do with politics, and thus is hardly an attempt to "politicize" the game.

There are legitimate people who are being displaced and forced from their homes, countries and entire way of life; people who are suffering, and even dying for something that is not within their control. It isn't up to any one of us to decide what any of these people's journey might amount to, and quite honestly, what you have suggested has absolutely no place here.

The intent behind this is to help others who are suffering, allow them a chance at a better life, or in some cases, any life at all.

We may be "split" by any number of factors, but at the end of the day, we are all human beings with no way to say what any one of us might hold for the future. By no means does that mean we shouldn't have the chance to find out.

The UNHCR was chosen with care and is supported by many countries for it's efforts as part of the United Nations, of which the US is a part of. All proceeds from this go entirely to them to help fund their efforts of helping these displaced peoples.

On that note, I am closing this thread as we are not going to tolerate political or racist discussions or depictions of this. Whether or not you wish to participate is entirely up to you and no one is forcing you to do so. DarkOrbit merely wants to help people, and from the sounds of things, they aren't the only ones who hate to watch such suffering that didn't have to be.
