[GI] Question about pet speed

I have notice a big drop in my pets speed sense the April fools day fiasco. Boy was that a lame joke. Anyway my speed for my pet is half what it was before this event and was wondering if this is the new norm or if they are working on fixing it. Anyone got a clue?

 

I have noticed the same thing, a huge drop in pet speed. My ship speed is the same...whats up with this?

 

I haven't kept my pet active except when cubing so I didn't really notice it - only once I saw it lagging behind my ship by a lot but I thought it must be my connection or something. Seeing this thread though, it seems like it wasn't what I thought it was so I'd also like to know what's up with the pets' speed

 

I believe this is a visual lag not an actual slowness. If you notice the Bonus Boxes being picked up by the PET they disappear before he is close enough to pick it up like the ship, but yet you get the credit for the collection.

Yes it is visually slower but in actuality it is still the same. I have no idea if this is something that can be corrected, or if they care to correct it, but you are not going to lose anything from the visual losses.

 

Well , the pet is def. slower than it was , i mean if i remember correctly pet should have 1.25* speed of your ship , and he looks like a goli with no engines (i'm spearhed with wheel ) , however as helpme said the pet collect bonus boxes faster(does not need to stop on it , just to pass by) and i seen my pet colecting cargo boxes at spaceball when he was not even near them . And at pally the pets are as slow as always xD

 

Just pointing a defect that has started. I didn't notice the picking up of boxes or cargo just the speed. Over the years of playing this game we have seen things change. The thing is when do, for some reason they are not in the players favor. So will see if they fix or not. I know once the auction was upgraded they never when back and fixed those bugs. Somedays it works just fine somedays not so good. mean the lag takes 10 to 20 seconds or the email notification doesn't notify you about being over bid till the end of the auction. My favorite. Anyway Thanks for letting me know it wasn't just me. have fun

 

The time delay has always been there (even when it was TRADE). The issue with the notifications is it is not Auto-Update, if you are still in the AUCTION it will not update anything until the AUCTION is selected again (which I seem to remember in TRADE also) or you are actively bidding. Maybe they need to return to the TRADE where you have to GUESS what the current bid is and HOPE to be high enough to win the item or better yet NOT return the credits when placing bids (I remember losing 80 mil bids regularly on the Iris) and not getting anything for them.

 

yup I remember those day too. I like this way better but getting our credits back was the only improvement.

 

I noticed same thing, a huge drop in pet speed when put new Green Mirage design on
my pet!

yup still have a slow pet. at one time it would pass me now I wait for it to catch up.
