[GI] Reputation Points...`

Hi All,
Slightly fustrated in how the point system works in the reputation event. How exactly do they work??
I shoot lower rep players, nothing added to my points. I shoot same rep players, nothing added to my points. I shoot higher rep players, again nothing. The all of a sudden i gain points by shooting another player.

Is the event broken or am i missing something??

Have read the FAQ but thats not ecactly clear either.

Reputation per kill points go up when you kill but not be killed, also the players should be close to your points and rank or player skill ability.
I was fighting for cbs the other day was killed many times fighting big clan wars and didn't loose any point's.
From what i can tell is don't give up trying to get those points back from the other players if your killed and loose points the faster you start killing again the faster the points go up. good luck
