    If I want to move my ''Alpha Gate for Dummies'' Thread to the new forum.
    What section should I put it in. How do I keep people from putting post on the Thread?

    I would say to post it in the Newb Section, and you can't stop people from posting on the thread enless a forum moderator "locks the thred" making replying only available to moderators, if they want to add something

    The Newbies section would be the place to post (per the Section Rules, we are essentially using that area as a "User FAQs" section). We can close your thread if requested in order to prevent other players from posting - hopefully you should also be able to edit any information even if closed, although additional posts will require opening it again.
