[GI] Server change

I've been hearing about a server change to a new time zone. Is this true, What time zone would that be? I already have a hard time playing in this time zone (us west) do to some things that run in game , some events only happen in what is called prime time server time. so if they move us to the east coast server everything is going to be three hours earlier that makes it 100% impossible for me to ever make a prime time event. I work so that just might the end of this game for me. It's hard now and I live in the time zone I play in.

 

I would hope so. Prime time starts on 7am in my time zone, and all events starts 5am. I can't wake up so early, so usually i stay awake all night, i hope server merge or something will be able to change this, as i started to play in server where my friends played in(5 years ago).

 

The only thing I have seen is a request for a server for the Albanian's and then the TWITCH Stream was mentioning some cross server possibilities. I have not seen any Official mention of any Server Merges or Changes, just a lot of Speculation/Hopes for population increases to servers. Problem is the Servers would be more populated if the game was more enjoyable and not so many Bugs and Glitches and better balanced on the PvP front, many games prevent Veteran Players from attacking New players.

 

So far changes to a different time zone has not been mentioned. If west went east, you are right when saying things would be very difficult. My work schedule prevents me from joining in with evening events as is. We can't all be so lucky. The scheduling of most events is for kids and those with day jobs. Those of us working evenings are just left to the way side, but then again I can enjoy more peace when trying to do missions.

 

Hello Darkorbit has discussed their ideas of server merging in one of their twitch streams, if you have the time to watch the stream it will be worth it.


Be aware though that server merging does have its own problems they will have to work around, and they will have to figure out what is the right thing to do, whether it is merging servers or creating a global map that any player can enter etc.

Nothing in there about time zones, just merges as a whole.

 

saw that to. I'll bet ya time zones and the way they will effect players isn't even being talked about. If history of past upgrades is used as proof . lol

 

Server merge is the best idea, still if you create global map the other maps will be empty feel alone playing, so boring.
