your lab is a storage bay you need to build - transfer - and sell at your base .... a completed lab looks like this
    Basic module20
    Solar module20
    Storage module20
    Xeno module20
    Prometium collector20
    Endurium collector20
    Terbium collector20
    Prometid refinery20
    Duranium refinery20
    Promerium refinery20
    Seprom refinery20
learning how to upgrade or make your ship perform better there are icons , 1 looks like a missile , From there you can transfer collected or transferred resources and you can refine groups of resources and apply them instantly in your upgrade menu in refine . To enjoy credit rewards towards bidding in the Auction or spending in the Shop . If you are building components in your lab build your left side 1 level above your right side components ... in this process of lab building make sure that these 3 items are above all units ... Basic / Storage / and Solar are above all units being built at least by 1 level. If your lab is currently not producing turn off all units and select another file on your page , such as [Shop] . From there return to the lab and check to see if all the units are producing. If not turn off all units on the right side of your lab .... Report back to this thread to report ok

  4. IF your SkyLab is operating properly you will use all of the minor ores to make the upper materials. I have mine at level 20 and other than when I turn off the Terbium to make Duranium to transfer for "Earn Credits" quest have nothing else.

The collectors work just to make the Duranium and Prometid (there is nothing left as these refineries use everything collected unless stockpiled before or you buy robots which is a waste unless sending these ores to the ship), the Duranium and Prometid make a little more than is required by Promerium so there will be a little extra stored daily (about 9 pieces a day I think).

    I have found it builds better if;
    1. Basic is one level above everything
    2. Storage and Solar are right behind Basic
    3. Collectors are right behind #2
    4. when collectors are level 3 start Prometid and Duranium (together)
    5. now when everything is up build #1 and #2 as soon as resources are available Start Promerium and Xeno
    6. Watch the time for completion and start the Duranium and Prometid so it completes at the same time as Promerium
    7. again look at the time left for refineries (all should be the same) and start the Collectors building (assuming you have enough ore to do so, I always did)
    8. The next cycle you can start the Seprom after #2 this refinery should either be building or off to save the Promerium
    9. REPEAT #1, #2, #8, #5, #4, and #3, until 1, 2, & 3, are level 20.
    10. now finish the refineries as fast as you can 4, 6, 8.
The final Seprom is a very long build so you may want to allow for enough for shields upgrading (calculate minutes played for the time it is going to be down divide by 10 and this is the stockpile needed) or just wait till the storage is full and make the final upgrade (15 days seems to be a length I remember).

after reading your post again just turn off your prom , xeno and sep modules. click the refresh icon in the upper left corner of your skylab. click on your Duranium or Prometid to see if they are actually producing. If not leave the page and then return and check again to see if the modules are active. Leave your sep , xeno and prom [OFF] until [ALL] your modules are full again. 1 of the hardest parts in this game is patience and understanding in skylab building. Have fun and be safe.

The problem is that everything already is level 20 except for my sep refinery which is at 17, and I can't upgrade because of the problems I've listed. I have tried turning everything off and checking back later and it does nothing...

  8. Ok so what you can do is turn all refineries off and let the collectors fill up, then add the first two refineries and let them fill up and then add the rest. Try that for a couple of days and see how it goes.

  9. You could buy 12 Credit (Uridium are better) Robots for each collector and see if that helps also. This will not effect the production of the other products and will increase the collection so that you can upgrade the Seprom. Again because the collectors and primary refineries (Prometid/Duranium) are the same level you will not see the increase in the collectors as these ores are used as fast a collected.

Buying the Robots or shutting down the REFINERIES is the only way you will see the raw ores increase. The Robots run for 48 hours and do work great.
