[GI] Stuck in refraction

    I tried joining refractions earlier.
    It just lagged out and lost connection. It didn't show the "lost connection" message. I could fly around still, but there were no NPCs, no ships, etc.

    I decided to try restarting my game client. Big mistake. The client just got stuck on "Establishing Connection". I tried clearing cache, deleting the local flash player cache, etc (all the [removed] that NEVER works, I promise you. As an experienced developer, I promise you that!). I even tried different browsers, incognito mode, etc. Nothing worked.

    The only thing that gave me different, though not desirable results, was to activate a different ship. This made it connect and load a map. The map loaded I think was the last map I used that particular ship on. This however also gave the side affect of no connection. Sure it could connect and put me in a map, and I could fly around, but there was no connection. Once again, no aliens, players, portals, and even my hotbar was gone. If I tried restarting the game with that same ship, it would stay stuck on "establishing connection".

    It seems the only way to get past "establishing connection" and get onto a map with no internet connection is to select a unique ship. Selecting a ship I already attempted to connect with again only gets me stuck on the "establishing connection" page.

    Also, when switching ships to connect, I do get the exit button to exit refractions, but it doesn't work. Nothing happens.

    I have sent BigPoint a message, but they are known for never responding and having terrible customer support, so idk what to do.

    Hi TF2274,

    Unfortunately as I explained in discord, unfortunately our tools at the moment aren't really letting us work with that server. I am truly sorry but we can't try to jump you out tonight.

    As you've already been through the cache & hanger changes there really isn't much more I can suggest to try right now. If you can tell us when you got 'stuck' I will add that to our existing report but unfortunately there isn't anything more we can right now :(

    If this is something that cannot be fixed soon due to server issues, then would it be possible for my account to be transferred or "duplicated" onto another US server? After all, they are all gonna get merged anyways.

    I could make a video recording showing all of my stats (rather than a still image which I could easily fake stats on), equipment, items, etc. Maybe those could be matched in an account on one of the other servers that will be merging with east 1.

    I only suggest that if there isn't a known time before the admin tools for east 1 will be working or if my account is lost forever.

    Usually situations of being stuck in a map resolve naturally at least with server restart, but that is 0530 LST so unfortunately that does not necessarily help you get back in the game right now.

    Whether or not our tools were working for east 1 right now, sometimes jumping people just doesn't work, the system doesn't accept or recognize is so someone can end up still stuck regardless of our attempts.

    The 'best' thing right now really is just patience. We (and support) would not be able to duplicate or copy your account to another server, and server merge is a ways down the road yet.
