I dont know if you keep a count on your Kronos parts but I have heard something that your "Surprise! Look what you found!" might refer to a piece added...

I've been having that too.

Seems like it only happens (to me at least) when I enter the radiation zone. Could be thinking you're doing the thing in 4-5, entering the rad zone, and leaving out another section.

 

This seems to be linked some how to the cross sever going live and the change in the text for items received. The text as changed from the shop item number for slow mines and DDM's to slow down mine and direct damage mine. As with the above post the message appears randomly when entering the rad zone.

Having checked my inventory and Kronos parts it seems that the rumor that the surprise is Kronos parts is just rumor and the suprise message is just a glitch.

 

This message has been coming from event boxes, since before the cross server.
I thought it was Kronos parts butt it is not.
I have checked my inventory and the only things I see that I can not explain are some of the new lasers and shields.
Have not really seen anything that would really help me, butt if it is free, what the hey, I will take it.
Would be nice to know what the surprise is BUTT then it would not be a SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!

Your new lasers and shields are most likely from the advent calendar or booty boxes as no one has till now reported having received anything from the strange message.

I also receive the same message pop-up "Surprise! Look what you found!"

 

Yesterday I picked up a box and "Surprise! Look what you found!" showed up in my log. Then I noticed I am 2 booty keys richer.

 

I've had dozens of the "surprise, look what you found" messages over the past few days but as yet have I anything to show for them.
I think it's a sarcastic message meaning "look, you got nothing"....that's my best guess.

Hello,

I don't know with 100% certainty, but as best as I have been able to find this may just be a bug. That's not to say you won't find the message with other easter egg types, but the message is showing up otherwise too when it isn't necessarily supposed to from the sounds of it.
In which case, surprise? ;p

Sorry I don't have better news. For now is there anything further from the OP?
