It is a Bonus when buying Uridium. Posting in Unofficial Revealed thread shows the bonus rewards but as these apply to MHH best to wait till Sunday 7PM server time to make the purchase.

Have to remember every thing D O does is about the almighty coin not the pleasure or wants of the community that plays their game.

 

Before, DO had a custom, to offer some design first only to a handful of people or with limited special event, then, after a reasonable time, make it available for everyone. This time it seems that they are going to use it only to force our hand to shell out some more money. Well...no way! One more reason for me to quit...

 

for the price of £70 on a mega happy hour you get 1mill uri , a hercules drone design, 1 month of premium 500 galaxy gate spins and a surgeon goliath design , the surgeon is essentially free and this deal is incredibly valuable and very worth buying so dont complain you should be grateful they're even making the surgeon available once again as well as these other fantastic bonuses

May I also just add the the surgeon is overrated , although a fantastic design for PvE , in PvP it is easily outclassed by some of the skill designs and the only bonus is that you can run away easier...

Well as far as other Skill Designs, if you have them use it on another member of your group they are useless until the cool down period is over, whereas, with the Surgeon additional Speed Generator on suicide and extra Shield on tank along with double boost seems pretty formidable to me. Basically if you spend money on the game this weekend is the weekend to hit MHH and really cash in, add everything up and you get 4 times the Uridium instead of 3. Unless you already have Herc's for all your drones in all your Hangars, already own the Surgeon, don't need the Premium, already own the DefCom Ship, and hate to build Galaxy Gates it really is a great bonus for what is already being purchased.

This is what you get with the Surgeon Design;
6% Damage bonus
6% XP bonus
6% honor bonus
1 additional generator slot

 

I still believe skill designs are better against the surgeon in 1v1s , 2v1s ,3v1s and group fights
Ive recently had some really good fights and came out alive of a 3v1 against 2 ufe surgeons and a basic fe solace while using the spectrum and ive had similar fights while using the sentinel and solace , those 3 skill designs are definitely better than the surgeon ( for PvP ) in my opinion , the cool down is only 20 mins and even quicker with cooldown boosters so what I like to do is swap between my three favourite and I always have my ability available.

Dont get me wrong the surgeon is a great ship and its my go to design when im killing aliens or in a gate lol but I dont think youll ever see a surgeon get far in jpa or outclass a Spectrum , sentinel , solace , and maybe even the diminisher in battle.

If it goes in the shop, it will be useless, as everyone will have i and it will not give anyone an advantage over others..

 

The thing is it has been available at the price of 300k uri before, so I see no reason for it not to be there again. One could also argue that never putting it in the shop is unfair as only those who open their wallets are able to obtain it, makes us free players feel left out in a sense

 

It is also an event reward so you could get it from doing the event, the Parasite Tide event was the introduction of the Surgeon and was the only way it was supposed to be available.

This being said those who WON it could say the same thing now that it is "for sale" for doing something that is usually done every weekend anyway, buying Uridium at MHH.

 

I know, and thats the reason why im always telling DO they should stop bringing out new Designs, drone designs/formations etc... they should work on improving things in the game

 

One could also say that the only people who had a shot at getting the surgeon from the event were Wallet warriors, and that its not fair that way... so anyway it goes, its not fair for someone

 

Actually the Parasite Tide was an Event that was enjoyable for the FREE player also and as long as you were ACTIVE a FREE player would be able to win the top prizes also. OH WELL, like you say, someone would feel it was not FAIR.

 

They made a mistake tho when they put it out for 300k uri for that while . Made this design non-exclusive already. Shoulda stay for top 10 from ebola event only .

 

Not the first mistake nor the last one D O is going to make.
