    Discord has much more staff and gets updated much more often. It is also easier to inform on new events and other stuff on there, as well. I have noticed that the normal forum heads are more busy than usual, so relax. You'll know when an event starts when it starts if all else fails.

    apparently there's a new event coming, plague mutation, or some such.

    But, a post in general announcements did say it was open, just to test general stuff, nothing specific, so, who knows.
